Round 4

Zeke's ancestors continue their assault. Great Aunt Zassy mutters in old dwarven. It is hard to follow, what with her teeth missing and all, but every so often Zeke's name is mentioned, followed by a stream of noise, that sounds unnervingly like expletives and rather poor ratings of her nephew's general usefulness.

Grampa Zippy: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 211d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10

Great Aun Zassy: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 301d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 = 13

Zeke, his head echoing from the insults even through the stone floor, takes his frustrations out in the only way possible. He charges in the general direction of the ape, using his crystal sight to aim as he draws close enough. He swings with his dorn-derger with all his might.

Zeke attack on the winged aped: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 13 + 1 + 2 = 181d10 + 5 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 1 + (1) = 16 if it hits, the d6 is acid

Round 3

Zeke's ancestor's continue their attack on the winged ape.

Grandpa Zippy: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 = 291d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Great Aunt Zassy: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 = 241d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Zeke delays for Throgg's next attack, then activates his crystal sight and sinks back into the ground.

Zeke continues on his way until he is sure that he must have reached the flying ape by now. Unfortunately, he misjudges the distance and comes up just on the far side of the Golem. Quickly, he directs his Ancestral Guardians to the monkeymonk instead.

the guardians continue to mock his failures, but do as they are told, attacking the ape with the passion of their derision.

Grandpa Zippy: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 1 = 281d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Great Aunt Zassy: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 1 = 261d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Zeke, freed from the tentacles by the Mighty Throgg's quick thinking, casts summon ancestral guardian instead. They each wield a warhammer, attacking the flesh golem immediately.

Zeke then sinks into the ground, much to the chagrin of his ancestors.

Great Grandpa Zippy Kazmulke: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 1 = 261d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Nevermind, I'll hold onto that option for later. Let's go see what there is to see.

Zeke relates Gabbro's words to the others, explaining about the mud traps and the stone that he promised to take with them.

AC 21, T: 13, FF: 19 hp 79/88, Fort +6, Ref +6, Will +9; (+2 vs. poison, spells, and spell-like abilities)

Zeke, usually as taciturn as they come, smiles and pats the wall with affection. He grinds his teeth some more.

"Thank you,Gabbro. Yes, if it falls within our power at all - and the Mighty Borracho crawls with us, so I have no doubt that it must- then we will heal the stone and take it somewhere else. It would be an honor. Would you mind if I moved through you for a moment, to see as you have seen? It would help us better prepare to fix the old stone."

Zeke grinds his teeth slowly, the sounds of gravel shifting vibrating in his throat.

"Thank you for your counsel. We seek information on other crawlers that may have come this way recently. What numbers, and what they may look like."

"Very well, then. " Zeke moves out the way so that the others might work on the door while he begins casting stone tell.

Zeke shakes his head, as if clearing it from some unknown fog.

"The choices we have: I take us stone walking. I shape us a door. Or...I could, if we want to take the time, try to speak to the stone and see if it has any guidance for us before we go through? That takes awhile, though. Do we think we have awhile?"stone tell has a 10 minute casting time, but it would allow Zeke to ask the walls and floor what has passed through this way. Otherwise, I would opt for the stone shape, so we have an exit door.

Zeke stops, the pinch of dust that took him forever to pull together in hand, as Borracho refuses his help. Shrugging, he lets the dust go back into the bag, but a spray of it goes everywhere anyway.

"Werner? What of you?"

AC 21, T: 13, FF: 19 hp 79/88, Fort +6, Ref +6, Will +9; (+2 vs. poison, spells, and spell-like abilities)

Zeke offers to use two doses of the granite and diamond dust from Zeki's trip, one for Werner, and one for Borracho. Zeke would have liked to have 4 "doses" on hand, so -1000gp?

With his Dorn Dergar in hand, and a spell in mind, he waits with the others.

Zeke shakes loose from whatever inner voice he may have been listening to.

"When the stone speaks, I will listen. Should my friends wish to enter through some unsuspected wall, I will lead them through. And if we can find the granite and diamond dust that I would need, I will make my friend's skin as if born of the toughest granite."

His head tilts to one side and he shakes his head, but falls silent once again.

"Yes, yes, I see now." He nods, then grins as he helps to shape the sand. When the cliffs look somewhat more like cliffs, he tries to stand the rock marker on end, only to have it jump out from between his fingers.

"Yes, well, they're only markers, aren't they?" straightening his shoulders he steps away and lets the others deal with their own.

Zeke walks in, stone-faced and quiet. Every so often he winces and shakes his head, or nods. You should have known better, Zekediah Angraddson Gravelgrout Kazmulke! But Nooo, you don't listen to me, do you?!?!?! I might as well be talking to that man of yours. He at least knows the difference between bravery and stupidity. I suppose you're going to go drown your sorrows in that camelspit they're passing off as ale around here, aren't you?Aren't YOU?

"Wait. I didn't catch that last part. Can you repeat that?"

Yay! I'll get Zeke's profile filled out hopefully this evening, at least, as much as I can with his missing memory.
