"Adrian, I have create water. If you'll run past me and kill these assassins, I can cast it and then heal us up." Zaraleva delays briefly for the scout, Aiko, and Adrian to take their turns, hoping they will move past her and attack. When they have gone or chosen not to, she will move up the ladder and cast create water on the two nearest squares of fire. (Four gallons per square)

It looks like we need an initiative for the scout and maybe a double move for Adrian? Unless he can move 50 and attack, which would be awesome. Can you go before Karl posts, Adrian? We don't want to make him wait until Monday, especially with Thursday being Christmas. Edit: And Aiko

I was thinking the others would just delay until I got out of the way. So, going on that premise... Zaraleva drops back down and steps out of the way, then channels to heal.
I count four enemies with bows and describes where they are.

Zaraleva stares at the Varki. "The thralls lied to us and someone lied to you. Who told you that your man was here?" She grabs the helmet angrily and looks around for something else to appropriate. Spellcraft on Helmet: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
So 500 gp worth of stuff to grab. Adrian and Aiko, you should still roll your Appraise even untrained. There's no DC, just the reward.

Zaraleva does a quick Heal check on Byron before he leaves
and hopefully identifies the affliction as well as the previous monster. She then continues scanning the area with her Detect Magic vision.

Zaraleva's eyes widen as she sees/hears Lyraesel casting. "Are you sure you want to cast that on this oiled pile of kindling? One miss and we might all be crispy!" She leans down into the hatch to get line of effect on Adrian, Lyraesel, and Byron, then channels to heal. Channel 1: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 5) + 1 = 7 "Sorry Byron, that wasn't enough to get you back in the fray. Come closer and I'll try a CMW."

Zaraleva moves forward, trying to hide behind the mast from anyone who may be watching from the shore. She continues concentrating on Detect Magic, seeing through anything less than three feet of wood. "We should light a torch or something, so the people on the shore see some flame and smoke and don't feel the need to investigate yet."

A leather sack sits atop small pile of sand at the base of the bier, the glow of flame and wisps of smoke escaping from it. I thought the silent, shrouded form was a person or something.

"Adrian, can you climb up there and start kicking the hot coals overboard or knocking them off with your magic spear? I'll try to free the figure tied to the mast if the Varki friend can't free him. And I'll heal anyone who gets burned." What did my Detect Magic reveal? Is it sunrise or sunset? I think you said one of each, but I didn't re-read everything. Thanks.

I can boost you up if it helps your effort. I have a 12 Strength. Zaraleva speaks in hushed tones. Are we waiting for them to push off? Either way, the stealthy people should go first. I will cast Detect Magic to try and pinpoint the sword. And she does so.

"I like both of those ideas. We can paddle quietly with Lyraesel leading the way. I have to pack up my armor though, in case I get capsized. I doubt I could swim with it on." She is positively forlorn at the last part. She loves this armor. She will just tie a rope to it and stash it in the kayak.

If the burning is tonight or at sunrise tomorrow, we should leave immediately. GM, you could go straight to that scene. We can give Asvig a brief trial, but I as the voice of Sarenrae, find him guilty of murder and sentence him to death, to be carried out immediately.

The prisoners are completely stripped of armor, weapons, and the armbands. Hopefully that was the source of the magic that kills them for confessing. (Or the witch was.) Also, they are far away from where Asving is unconscious and tied up. If the first one doesn't know or won't confess, we move on to the next one. +4 total to Bluff/Intimidate/Diplomacy while wearing the headband. First drunk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

For the RoP+1, Aiko and Adrian have the lowest ACs in the party. Adrian is usually in front with Aiko using reach. So should he get it? Also, is the spear +1 a monk weapon? I think we all have good weapons. Feel free to correct me. Roasted sheep for dinner? Keeping watch over the tied-up drunks and Asvig?

Lyraesel wrote: Between Aiko and myself...I'm pretty sure she was dead before you acted. Yeah, that's what I thought when I called her a smoking corpse. Of course I was typing that at almost the same moment as Byron's post. So let's stripsearch Asvig and tie him up. Then tie up the two drunks and start asking them questions while wearing the headband. (It's +3 for Charisma-based skills, so I start with a Diplomacy of 1+3.) If anyone else can do better with Diplo/Intimidate, we can pass the headband around. We also search the entire building and check on whether any of the thralls ran for help.

Zaraleva looks at the smoking corpse of the witch. "Well, you tripped her all right... I tried to warn her. Byron, I don't know about leaving Asvig alive. He has influence and may get away with murder because of it. I couldn't stomach that. We can tie him up (Anyone have manacles?) and interrogate the two drunks when they sober up. If they know nothing, we can try speak with dead on the witch. We can also try charm person on him." Zaraleva gathers the party together away from the bleeders and channels positive energy.

Zaraleva scoffs at the idea of Asvig achieving a noble afterlife. "Valenhall? Are you mad? With the list of crimes you have committed? You cannot go to Valenhall until you confess your crimes before a cleric, beg forgiveness, and show remorse. Fortunately for you, I am a cleric and can grant you a peaceful afterlife. Now tell me where the sword is and who wanted you to kill us." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Zaraleva steps into the spot vacated by Adrian and readies a swing at Asvig with the condition that he attacks one of us instead of confessing. Readied Scimitar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 101d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
