True. It's a DC8 and I would roll 1d20+5, so I couldn't fail by five or more. Do you want me to try it or ask the cleric of Shelyn if he or she is higher level?

So I would need a three or better on the first roll and, if necessary, a two or better on the Wisdom check.

I can't seem to edit the loot list, only make a copy of it,

MW thieves tools are 100
Each shinobi shozoku is 50
MW shortbow is 330
MW siangham is 303
each dagger is 2
leather armor is 10

I am trying to determine the best destination for the boots of elvenkind. (+5 competence bonus to Acrobatics) Aiko's Acro is amazing and she has magic boots. Adrian's is +10, Lyraesel's is +6, but I'm not sure how often she has to tumble into position or if she has to deal with the items melding into her wild shape rules. Byron, do you Acro or just Agro? Would they matter for Adrian's flying kick?

Byron, you saw this, yes? Are you mentioning the temple because you want to resupply?

Aiko, Adrian, and I started this campaign in...August 2020. Over five years to get to level 5. Thank you GM Karl for picking up the reins.

Also adding two third-level spells (both Speak With Dead today) and a domain spell - FIREBALL
Now 3d6+1 on the channels.
No change to BAB or saves.
Three skill points and a feat. Probably two in Spellcraft...
Do you guys want me to take another crafting feat? Or something interesting with channeling?

Improved Initiative so you can often get that first sneak attack?
Weapon focus so you hit more often?

I'll be able to cast Darkvision soon if you really want it. I wouldn't waste the feats on it.

I just found a wrinkle in my "brilliant" plan. Speak With Dead is Cleric 3. GM, have we won enough fights and other things to make 5th level? If not, my friends, I think we need to interrogate the remaining servants. One of them surely must have heard something about the sword and/or the Frozen Shadows. I'm fine with Diplomacy or Intimidate.

DESCRIPTION

You grant the semblance of life to a corpse, allowing it to answer questions. You may ask one question per two caster levels. The corpse’s knowledge is limited to what it knew during life, including the languages it spoke. Answers are brief, cryptic, or repetitive, especially if the creature would have opposed you in life.

If the dead creature’s alignment was different from yours, the corpse gets a Will save to resist the spell as if it were alive. If successful, the corpse can refuse to answer your questions or attempt to deceive you, using Bluff. The soul can only speak about what it knew in life. It cannot answer any questions that pertain to events that occurred after its death.

If the corpse has been subject to speak with dead within the past week, the new spell fails. You can cast this spell on a corpse that has been deceased for any amount of time, but the body must be mostly intact to be able to respond. A damaged corpse may be able to give partial answers or partially correct answers, but it must at least have a mouth in order to speak at all. This spell does not affect a corpse that has been turned into an undead creature.

I will prepare both of those and as many speak with dead as possible after we rest.

More channels as needed:
2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 1) + 1 = 42d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 5) + 1 = 12

Adding a CLW to Byron
CLW: 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11

A little research revealed that I can help a second save on poison, not negative levels. Drat.

I can cast resistance and I can prepare Bear's Endurance to improve your chances (unless you already have a resistance bonus.) Otherwise, we may have to pay for a restoration. Even if we made 5th level I couldn't cast that.

Her Detect Magic picks up the ioun stone, so she plucks it out, wondering what it is. If there are no other magic sources, she will move toward the kayaks. "Byron, ride with me. I'll give you some more healing if nothing else tries to kill us.... Well, even if it does."
