Nope, you are worrying the correct amount. We should definitely keep it, but it seems whomever uses it - it'll be a back up weapon for this situation. Thus it might be best for Nicea/Samara/Zara - Nicea might be able to do damage without it? Zara/Samara both have finesse, of course Zara does pathetic damage even if it wasn't me rolling.

Thus ideally I'd guess Samara, who could do sneak attack with it???

Zara could also learn Bless or one of those 'Magic Weapon' style spells, to help overcome stuff like that.

Holy moly, I've just used Caryatid Column as it's meant to be used at work.

But regarding the short sword, Zara can use it - in fact it's about as good as her scarves - but would not be the ideal. Saying that it seems everyone has other preferred weapons.

Zara still has a wand of CLW with 19 charges in it. With her level and her channeling, we 'might' have enough healing.... *touch wood*

Zara mutters softly; "Hadn't noticed. Then she goes over to the mercenary and orders him to write down what he knows, what happened as an informal testimony.

Whilst he does this, she gives him a slight lecture on how he should try to be a bit more careful and to be a better person no matter how bad things get.

This taken care of, she heads with the group towards town.

"Plus as you say Samara, there's the chance of a reward. Oh, and it gives these the opportunity to plead their case. Which reminds me, what did you do with the mercenary man?" the dancer asks Nicea.

I don't believe we need anyone new, especially with a potential discord/pbp dual format. Obviously if there's anyone we know, then we could include them, like an Oladon, kindral, ODV-type. But obviously my judgement isn't great, especially with AWWE & Peebs.

As for a new thread I like this one and unless we actually commit some some rapid posts, a new one could seem anaemic. However a new start could prompt a flurry of posts.

"There do you feel better? Lets move." Once everyone is out of the stairwell, Zara jams an iron spike into the door to try & hold it. Bending down attempting secure the iron wedge and the portal into an immovable object especially from stupid goblins.

Seemingly Zara has 10 of them, is it a Know (Eng) roll?

"This room?" She moves to the nearest untried door on the left as they leave the stairwell, putting her ear to it for a very quick listen.

"Got that covered, let's just nip into this room." Zara says hurriedly with a flick of her wrist pointing to a nearby door & a sashay towards it showing what she doesn't have covered.

Zara spins around about after trying to help Nicea when Samara cries out and pole-axes to the ground. Her eyes blaze with anger at the ugly abomination that has hurt her friend, and with a swirl of scarves she starts to call upon her Goddess to help heal the downed elf.

The DC of 19 for combat casting is too high for Zara's wisdom, thus I'll hope to avoid the AoO...

Aye, hit them hard & fast. Trying to avoid an alarm sounding - hopefully the gobbo's are too disorganised to have a proper alarm system anyway. Unfortunately I've no alarm spell, however if everyone holds still before we open the next door everyone can have Guidance.

Zara leans against the wall watching Davben and Samara climb up the guard tower. Then glances to Nicea's rear-guard position, with a reassuring nod.

Zara awaits for the pair to come down from the nest, before leading them to the door that Nicea nipped through. Seeing the lady covered in arterial blood, as well as the precise spray on Silva. "Are you alright?" she queries in a soft voice, realising the door to the right probably leads to another guard-tower.

"I believe, that's a guard tower.... occupied. Should we go through the double doors instead?" The dancer whispers softly, swaying gently to try and dry off.

Zara sneaks up the ladder to look into the goblin watchtower where Davben and Samara are, wrinkling her nose at the acrid vinegar smell mingled with the smell of blood. "Let's go to the others? The went west.... if you've finished here?" her voice drifts on the sea breeze.

Zara waits at the bottom for the sneaky duo to return, hoping that they haven't awoken any of the lookouts in the tower. 'Though goblins may not be the most diligent, surely the person in charge would've assigned someone competent... then again surely good lookouts would've seen the scene outside. But maybe not from this angle.' She second guesses herself, all the while wondering what's happening with Silva & Nicea.

Zara awaits at the bottom of the watchtower, for the sneaky pair to return from whatever scouting expedition that they've been doing. She silent chides herself, that she should've given the Goddesses guidance to then - whilst glancing towards where the others are.

Zara turns around at the slight noise behind her, but guesses that Nicea will soon staunch the sound - or call for help. Loosening her bladed scarf, she wraps it softly over her arm - in case Samara needs help with the carpenter(?) goblin.

Sidling into the trophy room and looking at the walls with a shake of her head.

"Maybe it's best we let Red Mist do the howling, for there's a whole tribe of goblins here, that's alot to bring down on us at once. Let alone for Nualia and whomever else."

After having seen what the goblins did to Sandpoint, Zara isn't feeling merciful to the creatures and lets Nicea act without a word. Then she looks down at herself and the arterial streak of blood and shakes her head. 'A little blood is to be expected, but that reaping of Nicea's wasn't really...'

She gets a iron pot from her pack and creates water in it, adds a numb of soap that's quickly reduced to suds and then dumps the whole pot over her head. She looks back to where Samara's looting the bodies, before they're unceremoniously dumped down the cliff. "Anyone else want a quick shower? Although we'd best check out the garrison, it's a bit nippy out."

Zara sashays forward, slipping off her jangling scarf skirt with it's shining sharpened coins sewn into the material. Silva's eyes drawn to the revealed pert scarf-clad behind, as the dancer spins forward to the party's shield wall. With a graceful swing of her shoulders she brings down the scarf in what some might ungenerously call a fisherman's cast across the dog that Davben attempted to strike.

Looking down the vertiginous abyss, at the dark waves crashing against the rocks below causes the Varisian's heart to quicken and legs to soften. "Stupid goblins, why do they live across there?" She says softly, almost to herself.

Before anyone else crosses the bridge, she casts Guidance upon them.

Softly trying to speak over the crashing waves down below, Zara adds; "I know a sailors reef from a sheepshank but not too much more, really."
