Luck blade in hand, the archer retreats from the horde. "Let's go lift a curse, Grovnaidel, a few extra wishes are sure to help us with that." Brimming with confidence, Zak pats the sword cane as the lure of an untraveled road already begins to pull at him.

The archer's normally stable hands begin to shake, threatening to spill tea across the floor boards. Setting the cup down, Zak moves to the side of the bed and carefully slides the envelope from beneath Rach, being sure that Simon's companion stays right upon his chest. Afraid his voice will crack and choke away the words, Zak hands the letter to Asha, his eyes brimming with tears threatening to spill down his cheeks.

A little sleep and a few prayers and you'll be right as rain." The words ring empty, the flying archer lacking the guile to deceive anyone regarding his fear for the old man's condition.

Zak can continue the cloud of smoke which he can see through and investigate the ship with party in tow. Only 5' visible, but Zak can see through it and keep everyone advised. Also, could use about 45 hp of healing :)

Zak endures the pain of the arrow, his focus completely on the traitor Darys. "Murderer, your head is mine!" he swears as an oath (free action) and his bow responds. For the second time in the day a weapon speaks, to the party's surprise, this time Zak's bow shouting "Death to those who have wronged me!" Unleashing a full barrage of arrows with speed, Zak targets the traitor and murderer of his friend, the sworn enemy he pursued to this island.

Even amidst the scene of death, Zak finds himself again pondering the wonders of goblins. He cares not for any of our conventions, yet here he is again showing more concern for life than I do? Have we judged the tribes wrong all these years? Perhaps there is much to the goblins that we do not understand? "What do you think Poog, is she alive?" Zak turns from his pondering to inspect the chambers as a detective would, looking for any signs or clues as to what occurred.
