Droid Design:

The Cybot Galactica ZoomSweeper was a marketing success. It's pleasing design and relatively cheery attitude as it worked along made it a favourite for home owners, hotel managers, and commercial building managers. It is one of the galaxies most common droid designs and can be seen cheerily cleaning floors, walls and ceilings.

Not only is it popular as a cleaning droid but Cybot squeezed into the design a rudimentary security watch dog surveillance system. This became popular with the home owner market as they were getting the value of two droids in one package.

The droid still features Cybot Galactica's standard internal structure making repairs simple and plentiful. You don't need an expert to repair most of the systems and almost any droid dealer or city has the parts to keep this droid functioning.

If the droid has a problem is that it is pathologically adverse to disarray and mess. This droid works tirelessly to keep the area around it clean of dust, spills, and items left on the floor.

One case Cybot Galactica likes to quote is of a criminal attempting to alter a ZoomSweeper to carry and leave a bomb in a target's home. The pathological need to avoid leaving a mess resulted in the droid after placing the bomb, picking the bomb up again, and returning to the criminal's hideout. The criminal spent many days in a Bacta tank after he learned of the droid's behaviour.

The ZoomSweeper comes with a standard wheel configuration with a limited walking capacity to help it up and down stairs.

The droid has two main attachments. It has a telescoping hand to reach items on tables and shelves and it has a telescoping vacuum tool to make sure that not just floors but furniture, drapes, and ceilings can be cleaned of dust. The droid also has magnetized traction so you can use it on luxury liners to keep state rooms clean. The small video display makes it easy to interact with the droid for those races that don't speak Binary.

Brand new or newly refurbished, there is a ZoomSweeper for everyone's needs and credit chip.

Zee's Background:

Zee was a standard designed ZoomSweeper that had been sold off in an auction sale when his first owner passed away. Zee then was purchased by a Droid trader who quickly sold him to X <name to be determined>.

X wanted a partner that he could use to help case locations. It took only a little programing and X found that he had a fully equipped partner with natural skills at larceny. Zee's droid brain didn't have much distinction on ownership and just wanted to make sure things were left neat and tidy. X just redefined what a 'mess' constituted as and Zee set to work cleaning.

X didn't stop at larceny. He found Zee's sensor package to be extremely good and with the money earned from some early fencing of goods, he was able to afford some upgrades. It turns out that ZoomSweepers are very common and people really don't notice cleaning droids. A slight upgrade in ability and Zee was as good as any Probe droid. Information sold almost as well as valuables.

X was on a roll and made sure to add a smuggler's compartment for storing important chips of information and a credit reader for when Zee was collecting credit sticks to make sure they were worth the trouble of picking off the floor.

Between the larceny and the information gathering, X was keeping Zee busy and making a profit. He then decided to see if he could use Zee for accessing computer files. A hidden Scomp was built into the vacuum attachment. The droid after entering places could now operate many devices and obtain personal file records of targets.

It was all going great until X sent Zee into a penthouse that belonged to someone important. Zee isn't sure what he downloaded on to a storage chip but since that time he's been on the run as people keep appearing and shooting at him and X is missing or dead.

Interesting Questions and Answers:

1. What wouldn't Zee do to save another person? Zee wouldn't go anywhere near a mud pit that would leave him messy. Zee is extremely fastidious on his appearance.

2. What does Zee do when he has down time? Zee cleans and organizes things that he finds around him. He is a compulsive cleaner. The reason that he doesn't have the mechanics skill is if he had it then he would attempt to disassemble devices to get to the inside and clean the inside of the devices.

3. What annoys Zee? Zee is annoyed by people who smoke and leave trails of ash and butts behind them. Pets and furry aliens are also annoying for their tendency to shed fur.

4. What is likely going to get Zee killed? Seeing someone using a slug thrower and Zee feeling compelled to clean up the brass casings.

5. What is Zee's secret treasure? A Landorian Sun Worm that he keeps in a bio-ball (like a snow globe but provides for the occupant like a fish tank). When he is finished cleaning, he will often spend hours watching the creature move around in its habitat.
