I don't know how much of this our friendly neighborhood GM will be tweaking, but this document has some information about Cauldron. It looks like a slightly Pathfinderized version of the player's guide from the original AP using Golarion gods and such. I doubt there's anything in here that would be a spoiler.
Yvette was born and raised in Cauldron, but between her upbringing and her family's reputation she often feels socially awkward. Yvette's had people she's grown up with suddenly start mouthing off about how she could be a monster often enough that she won't judge someone just because their granddaddy was an elf or an orc.
Kyranda wrote: it doesn't mater to me at all. I will go along with whatever the group picks, just expect me to hit on everyone and anything that moves. I've got no problem with that as a player, but we'll have to see how Yvette responds.
Korihor sounds good to me. Just to change things up a little: Korihor may think the guards saved her from bandits, Yvette slashing the bandit leader with her greatsword took a lot of fight out of them. However, from Yvette's perception of how Korihor handled her side of the fight, the guards saved a bunch of bandits from Korihor's fury. A shame really because the bandits needed a good thrashing more than a year or two in the local jail.
I posted a couple changes to the profile. Tweaked the attributes for 15 point build and changed the equipment load slightly. Also got rid of the section on Yvette's take on PCs that won't be appearing in this campaign.
Thanks, Choppy. Look forward to playing with everyone. Let us know when you get the gameplay and discussion threads running.
Interesting gender distribution compared to the last time I tried this with Yvette.
DM Choppy wrote: so far i got a druid, a sorceress, and a cleric submitted where are all the fighters lol! Guess that means you don't like Yvette after all. ;P
Going strictly off her stats, Yvette should be among the last to get clues anyways, so I have no problem following along until you say otherwise. Let me know if the character needs any adjustments for your campaign.
I rolled up Yvette several months ago for a Shackled City campaign that lost its GM after the second encounter. I'd like her to have a chance at a campaign that lasts a little longer.

Glad to see you're alive and kicking. We'll be here when you've got more time.
Female Human Fighter 1
"Yeah, just want a chance to see one of those things before it tries to gut me."
Female Human Fighter 1
The next morning, Yvette waits for her friends outside Ghelve's shop.
Female Human Fighter 1
Having seen Ghelve and her friends safely to the temple, Yvette says, "I'd best get home and see how Pa's doing. I'll meet you at the locksmith's in the morning." With that she goes to her house to get some rest.
Female Human Fighter 1
"Ha ha... Ooh. My ribs are still a little sore. Shouldn't laugh too hard," Yvette says to Barek. "I keep forgetting you're tougher than you look. But I'll be glad to hear you sing."
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette listens to the others' conversations as they walk to the temple. She feels like she's still missing a couple details, but the situation seems clear enough. "When we go down there," she says. "I think Trane and I should take point. That... thing hit me hard. No offense, but I think it could have broken Barek or Jennis in two."
Female Human Fighter 1
"Thanks, Hagin," Yvette says to the cleric. "I feel much better now." She turns to Keygan. "Don't worry too much about Miss Jenya punishing you. The Cudgeler knows that even the strongest break when they're hit hard enough. Let's get you someplace that doesn't have rats."
Female Human Fighter 1
"Mommy, is that you? Yvette says quietly as the healing energies start mending her torn body. Then as the spells end, she suddenly wakes up with a gasp and sits up, her eyes angry. "Stand back! It's... dead."
Yvette stares at the skulk's battered body. Then she sees her friends. "Thanks, guys," she says. "I owe you. Pelor's pinky, Ghelve. If we need to kill more rats for you, I really need to go home and get my armor. You all can tell me what happened on the way."

Female Human Fighter 1
Looks like I made a mess of Ghelk's carpet after all, are the last thoughts to flit through Yvette's mind as she falls to the floor unconscious.
Sorry about the confusion about the order of the posts.
Female Human Fighter 1
Congratulations on the new job.
Yvette steps into the room and looks around. "No rats in here," she says. "Maybe they're upstairs." She climbs the stairs to the balcony.
Female Human Fighter 1
Sense Motive 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14
Yvette is just about to ask Keygan why he's asking the party to help with vermin control when she sees Trane motioning for silence. Don't know what he's up to, she thinks. But so far, he's known what he's up to. She puts her hand on the hilt of her sword and stands by to see what Trane discovers.
Female Human Fighter 1
"The riddle... How did it go?" Yvette struggles to remember the divination, then slaps her head. "Duh! Jenya wrote it down for us."
Yvette searches her belt pouch and brings out the piece of paper with the riddle. She starts reading aloud, "The locks are key to finding them. Look beyond the curtain, below the cauldron. Beware the doors with teeth. Descend into the malachite 'hold, where precious life is bought with gold. Half a dwarf binds them, but not for long."
Putting down the piece of paper, Yvette looks at Keygan. "Half a dwarf, doors with teeth... I hope you can make more sense of that than I can."
Female Human Fighter 1
"Of course I didn't mean to say you were involved, Mr. Ghelk" Yvette says. "A good locksmith needs to be trusted and like I said before, Pa says you're the best locksmith. I hope you're right about nobody knowing about Jzadirune. There's a woman called Jil, pretty girl with dark hair and a great aim who works for the Last Laugh. She killed a man trying to keep us from learning about the Malachite Hold and someone named Kazmojen. You wouldn't know who he is, would you?"
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette looks at the fireplace and thinks, No point in trying to dry off. The way this night's going, I'll be back in the rain soon. She finds a place to stand without dripping on Ghelk's fancy carpet.
"Thanks for talking to us, Mr. Ghelk," she says. "You've heard about the recent disappearances. The most recent kidnappings were four children taken from the Lantern Street Orphanage. Because of her church's support of the orphanage, Miss Jenya is trying to find them. She prayed for divine guidance and was told something about the locks being the key. She told us the orphanage has good locks and my Pa always says you make the best locks. And then we heard the victims are being taken to the Malachite Hold, which used to be a gnome settlement." Yvette takes a deep breath. "I know it's a long shot, but I thought you might be able to help us."
Female Human Fighter 1
Let's try that again in character.
"Sorry to bother you, Mr. Ghelk," Yvette says. "I was hoping you might tell us about the locks at the orphanage. I suppose our questions could wait till morning, but I don't know about the orphans. I have no idea what the Last Laugh would want with a bunch of little ones."
And while it would have been better to have someone other than Yvette try this... Diplomacy: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15
Female Human Fighter 1
This would be a lot easier if I were still in the guard, Yvette thinks as she examines the locksmith's shop. Oh, well. I can still knock like I used to. She starts pounding loudly on the door with her fist. "Mr. Ghelve, we'd like to have a word with you, please."
Female Human Fighter 1
"OK, let's check the locksmith first," Yvette says as she leaves the room.
Female Human Fighter 1
"The locks are the key," Yvette mutters. "That's almost as silly as the locksmith who was named 'key' something... Hey! She said the locks at the orphanage were good. Pa always said the best locks were made by a gnome. Keygan Ghelve I think his name was. What ever happened to him?"
Female Human Fighter 1
"I'd beat the creeps that hurt the orphans for free," Yvette smiles at Jenya. "But Pa would yell at me for not taking the money when I don't have a job. I accept your offer." Yvette then looks at the men sitting at the table, "You're all going to help, too, right?"
Female Human Fighter 1
"So now that we have the introductions out of the way," Yvette says leaning towards Jenya. "Why don't you tell us about this offer of yours?"
Female Human Fighter 1
What's with those two? How long has it been and she's still on his case? "Hi, Miss Jenya," Yvette says. "My name is Yvette Gallowfall. I'm here tonight because I'm Barek's friend."
Female Human Fighter 1
If watching me by the fire is such a treat, the monks really need to let their apprentices out more often, Yvette thinks.
Yvette takes a seat next to the monk and says,"Ummm... Thanks, Trane. I didn't really do all that much with the thugs, actually. You, Jennis, and Crispin did the hard work." She then pours herself a cup of tea.
Female Human Fighter 1
Drying herself by the fire, Yvette notices Train watching her. Why is he staring at me? Then she passes the towel by her knee and she notices the rip in her pants from when she stumbled during the quake.
"I'm sorry, Trane!" Yvette blurts out. "I meant no disrespect to your god coming into his temple like this. By the Cudgel, I must look like a drowned rat. Oh, great. Now we can add blasphemy to my offenses. Tell you what. I'll run home and change... No, that's no good, I still have no cloak. I'll just be soaked again when I get back. I'll just wait outside while you all talk to Miss Jenya." Yvette's eyes are scanning the room like she's trying to find an escape route.
I had this right, but the system didn't save it. I needed three edits on the second try.
Female Human Fighter 1
Suddenly concious of Nilam's dead weight on her shoulders, Yvette pauses before entering the meeting room. "Ummm... I don't think Miss Jenya would appreciate this in her parlor." She turns around and lays the body on the floor outside, taking a minute to rearrange Nilam's cloak so it covers his face. With that attended to, she enters the waiting room and dries herself by the fire.
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette picks up Nilam's body and slings it on her shoulder. "Even if you don't want to make his corpse talk," she says. "We'll take Nilam to the church so the priests can say words for him. Come on Ruphus, let's get you to St. Cuthbert's before anymore black cloaked clowns show up." She starts walking towards the church.
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette shrugs and says, "No need to drag them with us." She stops pushing Kerlen into the wall, but doesn't let go of his shirt. She makes sure the thug is positioned to get a good view of the corpse. "Take a look at Nilam. I don't know what the mage is up to, never can tell with mages, but the arrow is Jil's because she didn't want him talking. The way I see it, you have one chance to get out of this without Jil shooting you in the back. You and Hylum run straight to the guard house. Tell Captain Skellerang everything you know about what's happening. Even the stuff you didn't tell me. If you're lucky he'll toss you in solitary until this blows over."
Yvette lets go of Kerlen's shirt and adds, "But if I find out you hurt any of the orphans, I'll track you down and gut you. Now, scram!"
Female Human Fighter 1
"Good, nice to see you're not as stupid as I thought," Yvette takes her face away from the thug's, but still keeps him pinned against the wall. She turns to her companions and asks, "Anyone else have any questions for Krelen?"
Female Human Fighter 1
"Uh, uh, Kerlen," Yvette says as she lifts the thug to his feet. "You're a sorry excuse for a guard, but even you know better than that. We'll be asking the questions here. Now, listen carefully and answer everything the first time I ask because I don't have time to screw around with you tonight. And no more trying, 'Nilam knows everything' as in excuse." Yvette pins Kerlen against the wall holding him in place by holding his shirt in her right fist and pressing her fist against his chest.
Yvette puts her face inches away from Kerlen's. "I need to know what they've done with the orphans and you're going to tell me now. Otherwise, I'll beat you senseless and leave you where your friend Jil can find you and finish you off."
Intimidate 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Female Human Fighter 1
As I understand it, we subdued three thugs. One of them got shot by the woman in black, so we're down to two sleeping thugs.
Yvette looks at the dead thief. Without stopping to examine him, it's obvious that he's dead. Damn, the girl knows how to shoot, she thinks. Then she notices something. "Hey! I know this clown!" She says, "His name's Nilam and he's in the guard. At least he was when I left."
She looks at the nearest sleeping guard, "And I probably would have recognized Hylum here if he'd been sleeping when we came in. I can't tell you how many times I caught him sleeping on post. Which means this guy is probably..."
Yvette goes to the other sleeping thug. "Yup," she says. "The set's complete. All three monkeys together." She grabs the thug's shirt and lifts him to a sitting position. "Yo, Kerlen!" She slaps the thug's face. "Wakie wakie! Time to get up so I can ask you some questions."
Female Human Fighter 1
"Dang!" Yvette looks at Trane while she prods the downed thug with her toe. "What did they teach you at that monastery?"
Female Human Fighter 1
"Nice try, clown!" Yvette swings at the thug with the flat of her blade. Attack for nonlethal damage
Attack die 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 4 = 7
Damage die 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16 Don't know his AC, but I'll roll for damage now to save waiting for a post. Though given how that roll went, that policy may just increase frustration levels.
Female Human Fighter 1
"Hey! New good thing about not being in the guard!" Yvette says with a wicked grin as she steps towards the thugs. "I don't have to throw you clowns in jail after I beat you. I'll just dump you in the lake."
Despite her outward show of bravado, Yvette wonders why they're not just running for it and scans the roofs of the neighboring buildings.
Female Human Fighter 1
"Oh, goodie," Yvette says while pointing her sword at the thug with a short sword. "The circus is in town. Why don't you clowns tell your little friend you're sorry then scram?"
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette draws her sword and runs up an alleyway. "Halt!" she bellows.
Female Human Fighter 1
"Who's up for seeing what all the commotion is lakeside?" Yvette asks the guys. "I bet Jenya and Kristof are both down there already giving orders and what not."
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette regains her feet and quickly checks her arms and legs for signs of injury. Other than minor abrasions and a ruined pair of pants everything seems to be alright. Yvette then turns to her companions and says, "I guess someone doesn't want me going home tonight. Still not going to keep me from hunting guys in black cloaks. Are you all OK?"
Female Human Fighter 1
Running to the door when the quake hits, Yvette isn't able to keep her balance and falls to her hands and knees. A stream of obscenities flows from her lips as she regains her feet. "Of course tonight the ground's against us, too."
Female Human Fighter 1
Yvette ponders Trane's statement. "Afraid to talk to me? I don't bite. Well, there was that one time, but I was unarmed and the jerk pulled a knife," she lets the rest of the thought fade away. "Any ways, I'll be happy to talk whenever you want, Trane."
She then turns to the rest of the group and says, "I think the mysterious men in black cloaks will try to fight back, so I'm going to run home and put on my armor. If the flooding's as bad as Crispin says, I also want to check on Pa. I think we should start off by asking Miss Jenya what the Saint told her. I'll meet you all at St. Cuthbert's in an hour." She downs the rest of her ale then heads back into the rain.
Female Human Fighter 1
Dang! The pretty boy still didn't tell me his name. But he does seem sorry Grandpa's dead. Oh, well, must be an elf thing, Yvette muses. Then she notices that Crispin has joined the party. "Hey, Crispin," she says. "What brings you here on this gloomy night?"
She looks at the assembled company. We might not be professional soldiers, but we'll do. "'Hurt guys with black cloaks.' I like the way this plan ends. So, do we head out right away to start this three part sort of plan, or do I have time to run home and grab the rest of my gear?"
Female Human Fighter 1
"When things are as weird as they are now, a plan of sorts," Yvette says smiling. "Is often the best plan of all. I'm interested. What do you have in mind?"
Female Human Fighter 1
Wow! You knew my grandfather before he joined the guard?" Yvette has a look of amazement on her face. "Grandpa died when I was little, I hardly knew him myself. Pa retired from the guard last year, and I... I tried being a guard, but... Well, things sort of went bad for me." She turns her attention to the mug of ale the server just set in front of her.
Yvette takes a long swallow then turns back to the elf, "Thanks for the drink. You, ummm... you... You still haven't told me what your name is. N-not that you have to or anything."
Female Human Fighter 1
lol It's cool. I named Yvette's dad in the super duper secret character relations post. Didn't remember that wasn't public, but...
"Well, uh, hi," Yvette stammers to the elf who has addressed her. "Brevick was my Grandpa, my Pa's named Roderick--like the first Gallowfall. My name's Yvette, and your name is?"
Just a little fun with Jennis being old enough to remember Yvette's grandfather.
Female Human Fighter 1
I told Pa I was coming here about a job, but this is going to be a lot more fun.
"Hello, Trane, welcome back to Cauldron, Land of Sunshine!" Yvette grins at her stupid joke. "And I'm glad Pelor could give his best young priest a little break. Good to see you Hagin. You have any idea who this J person is that is so interested in what you stick your nose in? Only J I can think of is that Jenya gal at St. Cuthbert's, and I think she'd want the kidnappings stopped."
Jennis's last post said he was going to the Coy Nixie. I don't want to assume he's arrived yet in case he wanted to do something more on the way.
