Looking over the items Yin does not bother to stop or appraise, she lets her hand fall on the staff and her lips curl into a small smile. "This one feels right" she remarks simply, making her pause for a moment, wondering where the non=excitable replay had come from.
Yin looks around curiously, looking for anything that jumps out at her, hunting for traces of books or flames. After a moment she pauses and grins broadly at Lord Kerrigan. "You could save yourself some money by rewarding me by letting me look around your city, it sounds interesting!"
Following along with the others Yin's focus is immediately drawn to the big doors, eyes alight at seeing such important sturdy looking doors. A dazzling grin on her face she merely nods at the lord's words, knowing that he should know by know that she was here and happy to help, especially if there was somebody to be burnt.
With a look of mischievous glee dancing in her eyes Yin looks set to yell out a counter to Kerrigans words (after yelling braggart loudly at him, of course) before she catches Falcon's eye, her expression becoming a little concerned, slowly she gives the Shoanti man a small supportive smile, the game forgotten for the moment.
Get in on the boast if you can. Catching up on posts and will try to get something in there, even if it's a "I burnt things! *snigger*"
Just a quick apology from me (again) for disappearance - real life was not especially kind and I hope to be back to posting again soon if people don't mind the crazy mage getting loud again. I've missed Yin as a character and really missed bouncing her off you guys..
Yin watches the dwarf with a faint smile as he waves his hands around, the last message however brings a bright grin to her features. Now that one she understood perfectly well, if ever there was a time to test out that newly developed and memorised flaming sphere this was it.
At Kelborn's words Yin gives a bright grin and without warning throws her arms around him in a loose hug. "Apology accepted" She chirps "Life out here is always interesting!"
Already a little annoyed at having not had a chance to burn the guildmaster a little before he fled in his wimpy gaseous form Yin turns her attention to Kelborn with a frown, her hands balled into fists at her sides. "He is not a thing. His name is Quarrel and he is a good ally to have. Just try listening and thinking. 'Beetlerajahs'.. Battle Ragers, strong fighters" With a small affectionate smile she looks up at the bugbear and gives a small nod.
Spotting Manfred's movements and the look on his face Yin edges closer and places a gentle hand on his arm "Manny.. are you alright?" She questions, looking concerned about the young knight.
"Of course" Yin replies with a courtly bow and a playful grin "I'll fetch them at once your highness" She adds with a little laugh before scampering off to fetch the dwarf at the gate.
"Okay then! Although he did ask us to send for you. He had a horn with him so he may be expecting to trumpet it and announce someone you're supposed to receive.. or something" Yin warns with a smile just in case she's going to be sent back again.
Yin smiles brightly at Klyndak "There's a dwarf from Janderhoff at the Marketspire gate asking to see you" She informs him easily.
Yin gives a bright grin and a nod before scampering off, heading to find Klyndak. Pausing in the throne room she stops and turns to the throne. "Is King Klyndak still at the gate or on his way back here?" She enquires of the magical object to save on having to trek all over the spires to find the dwarf.
Yin gives Kelborn a dazzling little grin at his offer. "Sure, although it may not take too long" She replies "The rings look like some we have, and likely have the same enchntment on them, featherfalling" She adds certainly.
Yin can't help but giggle a little as she listens to Kelborn speak. "Oh, but the situations that are deemed 'suicidal' by most are often the most fun!" She declares certainly, a bright excited spark in her eyes. She quickly settles however, the sudden burst of energy subsiding as she looks to Orlan. "Would you like me to look at that magical jewellery you found whilst you boys do some planning?"
Arriving after the others, a bright grin on her face, Yin hops off her horse and bounds over to the group, greeting Orlan with a hug. "Missed me?" She asks with a mischeivous little grin.
Yin refuses the ring outright, prefering the idea of Manfred having it, it's hard to grab ledges when falling when decked out in lots of armour. If needs be she'll threaten to just throw it in the river if he doesn't take it.
With a gentle giggle Yin holds the pelt to herself and smiles up at Darby with a hint of mischief in her eyes. "Thank you" She responds brightly, looking from the manservant to Kerrigan himself with a broad grin. Eager to get moving Yin hops up and heads off to pack once more, only pausing in her preperations to take a moment to give Falcon a tight hug goodbye. As the group leaves Yin can't help but be excited, joining in Manfred's recounting of past events although her mood occasionally subdues at mention of Kamris, clearly missing the company of the other Shoanti, her former grounding influence.
Yin gives a small smile as she contemplates the options for what to do next. "Well I'd love to see Klyndak and the others again, if only for a brief visit, to see if they know anything and are willing to help keep an eye out for things" She finally declares with a tiny shrug "but I'm happy to help in any way really"
"Rings of featherfall" She replies certainly as she places the rings on the table, her eyes giving an occasional curious dart in the direction of the shipped stone bowl, a small frown wrinkling her forehead.
Yin takes the rings with a bright smile, looking at them with a small gleam in her eye, like a child with a new toy. Turning them over between her fingers she purses her lips a little as she thinks deeply on them.
Yin hugs Manfred a little more tightly before releasing him with a grin "You know me Manny, I always find things to keep myself entertained and busy. It's good to see you again though!"
Yin smiles warmly at the dwarf "It's good to see you again too Ovirid" She replies in greeting before looking past him as he addresses Falcon. Her eyes landing on Manfred a slightly playful grin splits her face and she bounds over and hugs the knight.
Yin, how are you regarding remaining spells?[/ooc]
"We're playing with fire, surely you're used to this by now" Yin replies in an amused tone.
"No offense." Yin's eyes narrow as she pokes at a scorch mark on her arm both unimpressed at being hurt and oddly impressed at having found someone who thinks quite like her amongst the kobolds of all people. How Janrith's words have effected her is a little less obvious however as she remains oddly quiet, seemingly utterly lost in thought for te time being.
"Gods Damnit!" Yin yells in annoyance as she gets burnt rather than doing the burning. Giving an annoyed sound she too sinks to the ground below the smoke to get to clearer air. "Crawling works" She agrees with the dwarf.
"Silly Kobold, playing with fire is my thing!" Yin utters, only just resisting the urge to send a fire spell into the pesky humanoid, instead she settles for a ray of cold although doesn't seem happy doing it. Init (1d20+1=19)
"If only we had a cleric, a 'Create Water' would go down a treat here. I could try freezing it or we could find something to clear a lot of it"
"Now that is interesting!" Yin muses brightly "I really wouldn't set light to it, unless you want to back away quickly to avoid the smokestick substance, and even then the smoke it will kick out will likely alert everything in this cave."
Curious as ever Yin flares up magical orbs of fiery light and sends them dancing around as she bounds over at the mention of the grease and sits at the edge of the small chamber and takes a quick look at it.
"Ooh!" Yin chimes, clearly entranced by the dangerous trap.
Yin only just manages to stick around long enough for everyone to climb up and as soon as Manfred is near the top of the ascent she merrily wanders off to have a nosy at the cave they've reached.
Yin shakes her head a little as everyone eyes the climb and with a shrug secures a rope to her belt and starts the climb herself. Her first attempt results in her slimping and landing in an unrefined pile on the floor. Sighing slightly she dusts herself off, ignores her bruises and tries again. More successful on her second attempt she looks around for somewhere to secure a rope. Climbings (1d20=12, 1d20=16, 1d20=20)
Yin looks thoughtfully up ahead "It'll be more complex than that" She murmured "There's three others, up high.." She ventures at a slight guess before shrugging "I still think our usual charge in tactic will suit us just fine" She tells him with an excited grin "I'll give you a headstart if you want.."
Yin seems displeased over something but shakes it off for the mostpart. She arranges a marching order putting Ovirid ahead to scout, then Manfred, then herself, then Janrith at back. She and Manny however are well aware that this is a formality and it'll take mere minutes for her to get bored and scamper to the front of the group out of curiousity.
"I'm fer scoutin' the battle, if'n it continues when we be ready, to see who it be first rather than chargin' in like a berserk gnoll. That said, it be our leader's call. Yintarah?" Yin looks up from the food she was absently poking at "I'm still confused as to how I became leader" She replies a little dazed, clearly distracted by something. "Although my advice would be for people who feel they can scout quietly to head in a little further ahead of the rest to see what's going on."
Yin gladly distributes the potions she has amongst her companions and apologises for being so late, clearly a little disappointed in herself at seeing the state of the men. She also helps dress any wounds that aren't healed by magic. As night falls Yin sleeps uneasily, chosing to sleep in naps rather than straight through the night, appearing to have something on her mind.
At seeing 'Burp' fall Yin's eyes widen in shock and with no regard for her own safety (as usual) she darts over towards the combat, healing potion in hand, ready to pour it down the poor guard's throat if she thinks it will help him.
"Oh for crying out.." Yin growls a little annoyed as her lovely fiery spell misses. Choosing to go for accuracy instead she aims at the male owlbear once more and incants a more accurate spell and sending to bolts of arcane energy at it.
Overly enthused Yin gives a small wave of her hands and focuses her energies on the nearest owlbear and unleashes a scorching ray.
"Things to burn?" Yin chimes excitedly before hopping off the wagon, ready to join the fun and games with the owlbears.
