My group uses an old dinette table that I have removed the legs from, then spray painted with chalk board paint.I also purchased two lengths of crown moulding, spray painted it with gold paint and then painted each length on all 4 sides with dwarven, dragon and elven runes(so every one at the table has somewhere to put their dice). I used a black marker and a yard stick to draw 1" squares on the board. We also use D&D minis figures. Every one buys their own and creates their character around the figure. One box of coloured chalk and away we go. The entire thing only cost about 30 bucks.

My longest campaign was just over 4 years. A friend an I wrote it our selves. It was entered in the wizards world search that Ebberon ended up winning. (At least we gave it a shot.) We have started a new adventure with the same four guys and two new players. When ever one of those guys can't make it the original four get together and take turns DMing short high level adventures for our old characters. It's great to go back and visit them every three or four months.

At present my gaming group has 5 members, 4 of which have been playing together for about 10 years and 1 who just started his first session ever. We all take turns DMing which adds to the flavour as we all have different styles. Alot of the time at least 2 of us play 2 characters which fills in nicely what we would be missing in a standard 4 player game. Currently we are on the last leg of a 3 year campaign and all sit at about 17th-19th level. For our next game there are 2 new people that will be joining us and we will all be playing 2 characters bring us to a total of 14 characters (never tried that many before). I also find that if we miss a session at the next one we spend about an hour and a half chating and joking around before we get down to it. I guess that part of what makes this game so much fun.

I am currently playing a 3rd edition druid monk and I must say of all the different characters I've tried this has to be my fave so far. I get really cool spells, wild shape, multi attacks[bare handed no less]wear no armor yet rival some of our groups fighters and can out run, out punch, out dodge, out tumble, out jump and out wit just about anything we meet.
