Yanioth settles down, helping with the fire.

Yanioth nods to the others, "It is that or rest in the cold. We are grateful for your hospitality."

Yanioth picks up the stone and pockets it.

Yanioth has Area Lore:Dragon Pass?, that's the name of the whole region isn't it? Can I use it to think of a place we can find shelter nearby? 25: 1d100 ⇒ 8

If that's not appropriate...

"We should head towards the hills, there's likely to be more shelter over there."

Yanioth speaks up, "While we may often be in conflict, there should still be honour between us. We are still of the same people. We will do as you ask."

"Has Danakos always been a killer like this, or has something driven him this way?
And how should we remember your death to your family, should we find opportunity to speak of it?"

Unless I can phrase my questions in song I guess it'll be Orate(60) or Fast Talk (15) 1d100 ⇒ 35

"Your passing is a mystery to us? Can you tell us what happened?"

Still here.

Earth(90): 1d100 ⇒ 51
Yanioth may not be familiar with the Greydogs' death customs but she can feel the stone and aid in building a cairn to both leave the body undamaged and withstand the passage of time.

Hmm, Ernalda doesn't seem to have any affinity for death or spirits... None of my passions seem to fit...

Unless Earth can be leverage by the means of using the actual rock?

Yanioth looks to Harmast, speaking quietly "On the one hand I'd like to see this through, on the other our target seems to get ever further away?"

Nearly posted asking if anyone wanted to try fast-talk first but considered that in-game time was probably trumped by meta-game time of waiting for someone, another 10 minutes of lead isn't going to make much difference.

"Do you know is required to free her spirit?" Yanioths learning of the spirit world was mostly training to defend herself from outside influence...

Int (80) 1d100 ⇒ 51
Lore (Dragon Pass) (25) 1d100 ⇒ 93
Luck (75) 1d100 ⇒ 84

"Relax old man, we are here in peace, Ernalda's blessing upon you. Can you tell us how this woman died, the circumstance seems odd..."

Orate(60): 1d100 ⇒ 55

"Hold, we just want to speak with you."
Yanioth will leave her more athletically inclined brethren to pursue.

"From clay we were formed, to the Earth we return." Yanioth brushes the dirt from her hands and stands up.

"Let us go see who watches us?" she sets off towards the watcher, leaving her weapon sheathed.

"We should do, perhaps our good deed is rewarded already?"

Scan(30): 1d100 ⇒ 64

Yanioth follows suit, as much as she'd rather direct the operation, there was not the time to waste.

Sorry, yes still interested. And I thought I'd posted since your last post. Sorry.

"As we are formeed of the earth, to the earth we should be returned. We draw strength from rite and ritual, it shows we still respect the gods"

Unless anyone offers dissent Yanioth will start to dig, lacking any real tools she will use her shield as an improvised spade, loosening hard-packed earth with a dagger first if necessary.

Track (10%) 1d100 ⇒ 21
Customs (Heortling) (30%) 1d100 ⇒ 73

Well, if I'd rolled the other way around it would have been better.
"Infighting among the 'dogs? Or is there another party involved?"

"Perhaps myself and Harmast should investigate the body, Sister, Voster, keep an eye out in case this is some kind of trap?" Yanioth's tone indicates a suggestion, not an order.

"Well, onwards then." Yanioth sighs, she didn't really think anything much would be detirmined from the site, but better the check than regret it later.

I think checking the pasture before heading out would be worthwhile. Though I suspect we will find little there. Search check (30)? Track (10)? 1d100 ⇒ 82

Yanioth's smile widens, "Well answered. I forget your tongue is lined with silver."

Yanioth smiles slightly "Are you implying I often hunt men?"

Happy Thanksgiving all you upstart colonials. ;-)

Ha, as if you were not a more experienced tracker than I Harmast. Though I feel we are close, the earth seems tense with anticipation.

Yanioth moves with grace and charm, her bow, axe and shield close to hand at odds with her soft curves and delicate hands. She looks more like some lazy noblewoman than an a troubleshooter of any kind, but the set of her face is detirmined to follow this task through.

Well, spent far too long looking for an avatar and still not that much like the description. Ah well.
