Yandu picks up his wand again. "These humans need to learn how to distinguish reality from illusion. They have been much too skittish here. Not good if they can swing a sword two times as hard - but drop it as soon as they see some scary illusion .., He then moves over to the shattered wedding cake and helps himself to a generous serving. It should come back - if it isn't nauseated anymore. The 4 rounds are not over yet. "Archon - come back and aid Erin and me." If it can act - then let it move towards us - double move to get adjacent. If still nauseated - as I assumed - then leave it outside.

I was partly delirious yesterday when posting ... At least not fully fit.

That wasn't a good idea yesterday. But I wasn't in a state to post anyhoe. The sneak attack is a little bit much for my poor gnome. Will need to get out of the position on my next turn. What are the chances we take out at least one very quickly? There are 6 against 6 - not counting the Lantern Archon. They have more HP as we have - and we seem to struggle putting hurt on them. Hope this changes next round with full attacks.

Yandu moves to the other side of the babau - giving flank to Timber and hoping he won't have AoO left for him. His cold iron mace in one hand he draws as wand. Grease on the weapon. Of the babau - DC a paltry 11. The lantern archon flies to the middle of the stage and a light beam is shot at the shadow demon. Touch attack. 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 - 1 = 14 damage 1d6 ⇒ 4 Yandu seems overwhelmed by what he sees - his actions blurred. sick in bed but didn't want you to wait for me.

Rosham Yandu only checked the Babau and failed - should do a knowledge planes on the shadowy creature. I never heard back from the GM how he wants to handle Lantern Archons and Darkness. They are creatures of light and can also cast at will a level 2 light spell that is cappable to dispel darkness (not deeper one) - but as it is Continual Flame and normally needs some resources - this leaves many grey areas / questions ?? Can you cast it / dispel Darkness without the resources?
We should know by now as the Lantern Archon earlier was inside the darkness.

Just cross posted - yes - gave the oil of bless to Erin and gladly took the wand of shield for a charge on myself as well (was offered earlier and I couldn't remember who - must have been Rosham).
Yandu will help where he can, flanking or healing with a wand of CLW or even attacking ...

Okay - revised 3 rounds buffing 1) summon lantern archon
Adamus - the best I can offer you instead of just being a watcher is to play the lantern archon. You can't roll worse as I did. Edit: and the lantern archon has some at will abilities as well
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
Yandu has an oil of Bless weapon. That should take care of 1 weapon. The cleric could start channeling. Lets say three rounds before going in again Yandu could get 2 lantern archons back and a haste again That would be a total of less than 1 minute away. Not sure we can get a cleric here and now as I would expect there are other even more important guests needing a cleric right now. I hope Adamus doesn't take this against him - but I just can't see it.

Retrieval of the body Summoning Anya would take 1 minute - not an option. Is a dead body an 'object'? The Lantern Archons can teleport - with objects. Unfortunately capacity is very low. It would take several of them combined. A summoned pony or horse could easily transport him - but I can't summon it under him. I'm looking for intelligent enough monsters which I can summon and which are cappable of the job - but not sure yet I found any that I would feel 100% fine (well - make this 90%) as GM myself. Worst case - we come back later.

Dice rolls are PATHETIC ... I had some hopes with a total of 5 touch attacks - but not with these rolls. Lantern Archon vs Darkness - this is an interesting one. An Archon is a creature of light. RAW it's not a 3rd level light spell but a summon spell - but if you read the description then only death will extinguish them.
Brute - your decision - but trying creative play here I'm describing it as if the Summon of the Lantern Archons can defeat the Darkness (at least partially). 2all others - I was contemplating to withdraw - but felt another Lantern Archon should be like a needle in the side of these demons and shout draw them like light draws moth.
Movement rate of Yandu currently is pathetic - 15 feet normal movement, 35 on double move (including sprint). I should be close enough to the exit to get out.
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
Yandu summons another Lantern Archon "I'm dressed for a party - not for fighting. I can hardly move in these clothes. Damn you demon to dispel the haste." He then moves as quickly as his feets carry him. [b]"Shine light my archons in this darkness - and protect and aid Rosham" Attack 1, Archon 1: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7 Damage 1d6 ⇒ 4
The Archons start glowing in full intensity and then they move 5 foot closer to Rosham - leaving space between them for guidance to his friends.
I'm playing a gnome summoner with a small eidolon. It is winged, I can cast reduce person and I have a tiny creature with very high stealth scouting or doing other stuff. The Eidolon is female and his best friend. The two are quite good at support in many ways. But they are not the cookie cutter combat Eidolon. Anya did take down the strongest opponent in the last fight - but this was more luck as the fighters in the group did the first 100 odd damage before she joined when it looked precarious and more for flanking purpose.

Just reading up on Protection from Evil and I don't think I need an answer anymore if they are summoned or not Spears can poke a hole into the whole plan even if they are summoned as they don't need to touch you.
So much for the cunning plan to advice the others to retreat and to stay 'safely' with a CLW stick and tend for fallen guests. Yandu would end up as part of them in no time.

It's a GM call as I don't know if there is more pandemonium outside the tent and for game reason we just deal with Arastax and the 3 demons. But having you back soonish would be pretty relevant. Also if someone (Rosham) can tell me if they are chaotic? I have another scroll of pretection from Chaos. This is a tent - so not sure how much protection 'a corner' will give. But we have tables to turn over. They are larger as tower shields and we can build our own fortified table enclosure. Scroll of generate pit, wand of grease, summon more critters. Hmmm - which of these is even available in a single turn without losing too much time to undo the peace binding around it. I hope protection scrolls and wand of CLW are available. GM - Just to reaffirm I will follow your calls. I'm only discussing options here. Please slow me down if you feel Yandu is trying too many actions. Hope some of what he tries right now is mainly observation and istantaneous.

I have 1 scroll of protection from Evil - IF the creatures are summoned. Possible targets
That assumes Yandu lasts long enough and manages to cast the spell.

Yandu looks frantically around - finding himself suddenly closest to the two demons north of him. He hopes that the table and chairs will gain him some short lived cover. After all - this looks like human chairs and a gnome partly dissapears behind the,. He is under no illusion that the demon north of him can just get them out of the way - but it could mean a spear attack less on him. GM - spears or longspears - reach or not? Hoping any of the demons can only do a single attack on Yandu this round. Or if the northern one tries more using reach that at least he benefits from partial cover. He also frantically tries to figure out if the demons are summoned. Knowledge Planes - Take 10 - for knowledge planes 15 total. Guess as a summoner I might have an idea if I face summoned creatures or not.

Adamus There is nobody in the group who can effectively tank at the moment. AC21 Bishop is still 55% hits coming through. So let's do the math. 6 attacks total, assume 50% of threads confirm and we can calculate: 6 * 0.6 * 11.5 = 41 Damage / round. Bishop will 'Tank' just a little bit more as one round if he takes all the damage. Not including anything extra from the BBEG. Rosham will last just 1 round - some for Yandu. I try to keep out-of game knowledge and in-game knowledge apart. That is why I'm waiting for Rosham to give us additional info from his knowledge check - and why I'm doing a heal check to confirm what I think - that you currently only scratch the demon next to you due to DR. We need to ensure they can't flank us or it looks even worse. Your lack of armour is an issue. This makes you just into a speed block - a minor - for these creatures. They deal damage faster on you as you can heal. There was a reason I added 4) retreat into the options. It fits role play wise to Yandu - but the question is - do they have more combined HP compared to us and o they out damage us or is it the other way round. If they out damage us then playing for time won't help. We don't last until Erin and Amira are back.
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
There are several options: 1) Taking out the BBEG as quickly as possible and hoping the three demons disappear in case they are summoned.
My knowledge plane check failed. I doubt these are illusions - but I'm not even sure you are currently make full damage and I would guess the one next to Adamus is not even close to go down. Do you still have the smite? Or is it already active. It is 4 of us against 4 of them. Adamus went down in a single round and only was kept up by Heroic Defiance. Group heal aka channel has run off, backstab has run off. Yandu tried to play for time (the Archon) and is buffing now. But I won't deal (much) damage. The Latern Archon is weak - but it can overcome DR. at least in case I roll half decent.
We need more information - what are they, how to fight them (overcome DR), do we actually do enough damage to take them down quickly. We can't afford losing 5-10 damage per hit on them.
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
Hi - this looks bad at the moment. I'm torn between two options to tell the Lantern Archon - trying to disrupt the next casting - - attacking him once or just attacking three times. Well - maybe the daemons ate not what they look like - but if they are then we hardly have anyone left fighting BBEG. Hmm - thinking about it - will just do three attacks on BBEG with Lantern Archin. Hope Rosham will be close enough to take care of BBEG.
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
5-foot step South-west to get out of thread range of long spear Finish unwrapping cold iron mace Standard action - cast Haste on everyone left including the lantern archon. "Arastrax is using illusions. Don't believe them. Check out if the daemons actually ate real. I can't tell from here."
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
The Lantern Archon has Cha 10 - so Smite isn't doing anything (as far as I can tell). It was first choice until I (or others) figure out more information. Seemed roleplay wise a sound solution and hopefully draws attention from BBEG at least for a single round - unless someone makes a bigger impact to draw his attention.
Male Gnome Summoner 6 49/49 hp / AC 25 temp (20) / T15 / F16 / F +4 R +5 W +6 / Ini +4 Per +5
Looks like the Lantern Archon will only be a very small speed-bump and rolls haven't been great. So maybe a single needle prick - if at all Losing two fighters in round 1 is bad for the moral. I'm open for options Haste - will help the remaining ones - current plan for next round if everyone is close enough

Standard action - Summon a Lantern Archon I assume the character on the podium is Arastrax - looks too close to one of the Ulfen ... I added a yellow L for the position of the Lantern Archon. Protect these guests and send this evil back from where it came from. Move action - take out Cold Iron Mace Edit: Just realize to undo the peace binding will take a moment. Knowledge check planes - does the Cold Iron work against the Daemons? 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 A soft glow appears - followed by a voice akin to music and two rays of clear light are shot towards Arastrax Lantern archon - 2 touch attacks on Arastrax 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Damage 1d6 ⇒ 3
