Very new to PFS have run and played for a long time.
The crux of the situation is this, I started playing PFS at GADcon and fell in love with it, my understanding from what I was told was that I could create a character and apply all of my adventures to that character so long as I would only be taking 500 gold instead of whatever gold was on the chronicle sheet.
My problems are a few but complex;
1) I leveled Kaede to 3 using those sheets and others I played (this includes some pre gen stuff from GadCon). Now as I understand the rules a lot better I think Kaede may be illegal and I obviously don't want to play an illegal character OR hurt my reputation as an up and coming PFS GM. What do I do I would rather not lose the chronicle sheets but i need to know what to do !!
2) I explained this to a player who played up in last nights game and I told him he could apply everything but couldn't get the full gold and he was upset, I told him I would ask for advice he also told me I was wrong so I am trying to get some validation on how applying chronicle sheets above a characters level works as the guide seems inconclusive.
I need a break down of what to do to help my player (as I do not want to short change him or my new players) and what do I do about Kaede too.
What I mean is, and I ask as I have had 3 different answers !
1) Can I (or another player) play a higher tier (or sub-tier) and then apply that chronicle sheet to the character straight away, do we get the amount of gold stated or do we have to apply it at the tier or sub-tier it was played at ?
2) If mistakes were made can I rectify them or is it too late (I understand if she needs to be deleted because it was me that made the mistake) but I also know I sometimes worked hard for those chronicle sheets.
