Is there anyway to make your opponent helpless by using bare hands and then use coup de grace? Think of a tough guy from a movie, pins his target and puts his knife on opponent's neck. If the target moves, he uses coup de grace and kills him. Is it possible by using RAW?

Pinned condition says no. Helpless condition is a little bit confusing. It says "A helpless character is paralyzed, 'held', bound, sleeping, unconscious, or otherwise completely at an opponent's mercy." Does pinning mean 'holding'?

I'm not sure it's possible using the RAW, but the rules DO let you do it anyway.

The easiest way to do this is to simply use unarmed strike and let that be the weapon you use to administer the coup de grace; since that's non-lethal, a success would only knock the foe out rather than kill. If you want to kill, you'd grapple and then use lethal damage as part of a sustained grapple to coup de grace instead.

So by setting aside RAW, does it work as the following?

1-) I grappled my opponent.
2-) I maintained the grapple and pinned my opponent as part of standard action.
3-) I maintained the grapple and delivered coup de grace.

What is the use of Sleepwalk spell that is written in APG? It is a 4th level spell, doesn't make sense for that level.

I've always thought that being level 15 or higher was meant to be that you are among cool legendary guys of history. However, the mythic adventures have come up. What is the difference between being just a high level character and being a low level character with mythic levels? Could you give some examples of famous people of Golarion?(either high-level non-mythic or low-level mythic)

Can a spellcaster detect illusion aura of invisibility spell by using detect magic?

Hello,

Raging Drunk ability in Drunken Brute Barbarian archetype provides the character to use his potions as a move action. One of my players want to have barbarian/alchemist(Rage Chemist archetype) multiclass and asks about if he can use his extracts with a move action. Since extracts are said in PRD as "In many ways, they behave like spells in potion form" so I guess he can use it that way. Can he?

Thanks

Can a medium creature that have proficiency with elven curved blade, wield it as a one-handed weapon without -2 penalty due to inappropriate size?

Hello again,

My friend says that "2 claws" attack counts as a standard action and you can also charge and attack with 2 claws without pounce ability. I searched through universal monster rules and I couldn't find anything that says so. All I know about extra attacks is that if you have more than one attacks then you should take a full-attack action to hit with all of your attacks. What do you say?

Thanks

I had argued with my friends about the same topic then I asked to James Jacobs about it.

Greetings. I have a question about Detect Evil spell(or any other alignment spell) I've searched forum topics and everyone speaks different about the thing. CRB states that evil creatures(not clerics, anti-paladins, undeads, outsiders etc.) with 4 HD or less have no aura at all. However, Detect Evil spell description says caster can detect "presence or absence of evil" in the first round. Also paladin's detect evil spell-like ability says, "A paladin can, as a move action, concentrate on a single item or individual within 60 feet and 'determine if it is evil', learning the strength of its aura as if having studied it for 3 rounds."

Let's say we have a level 1 CE Fighter.

1-) A cleric casts Detect Evil and look at the direction where the Fighter stands. Does the Cleric see the Fighter as evil or not?

2-) Paladin casts Detect Evil and concentrates on the Fighter. Does the Paladin see the Fighter as evil or not?

Thanks!
