Thank you for running! I know Geiti had a bunch of Real Life at inopportune times (I hope that's going better!), but I had great fun with this scenario.

Day Job, maintenance worker, +1 clothing: 1d20 + 30 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 30 + 1 = 48

Xysh nods in agreement. "This is not the news you hoped for, but it is what you have. I am pleased to see you will take the necessary steps to try to heal the breech in your world. Working together is the best way forward."

Xysh backs Iskakii up. "I think you and your masters would be better served trying to work together, rather than tear your world apart."

Xysh will take the gun, though it's far from his strong suit. <I've been training on guns, but not usually this...large. Glad you're here to pilot, Zefira. I know how good you are.> He shoots vaguely near the serpents several times, forcing them to slow slightly, but not convincing them that we are less of a tasty morsel.

Once the serpents are left behind, Xysh focuses once again on the data dump. <I don't know that I trust Kurvasyr. Whether their intentions are good or not, I can't tell, but I think Elthel deserves our best work and not betrayal. Bringing the community together into balance would do a world of good. Right now, they are definitely near a tipping point and I worry whose finger is on the scale.>

Xysh relaxes and floats freely in the water for a moment as the final serpent goes down.

8d6 + 18 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6) + 18 = 60 is just RUDE. 6 shy of absolute maximum. Glad I boosted as much as I did.

He swims back to Geiti and takes 10 minutes to commune and heal her a bit more. Healing Touch for 60 HP back. <Excellently done, Iskakii. I think you just needed a little more distance to get the right angle.>

Xysh looks around the rest of the room and examines the eggs carefully, making sure not to damage them further. "We should definitely warn the giants about the dangers of entering the area. I expect there will be even more of these serpents soon."

Xysh shrieks as the tongue lashes out and sticks to him. Drawing on his hive mind memories, he attempts to slither out of the grapple and move away.

I think that gets Xysh out, and he will swim back away from Geiti.

What round of combat are we on now? I think it's 5, but I've lost it somewhere along the way.

It's actually standard in the Mystic Cure spell. I've never used it before, since I've done so little healing with Xysh since low tier.

With a touch, you heal and invigorate your target, restoring a number of Hit Points. If the target regains all of its Hit Points as a result of this healing, you can apply the remaining healing to yourself, as long as you are a living creature. On the other hand, if this isn’t enough to restore all the target’s Hit Points, you can transfer any number of your own Hit Points to the target, healing the target that amount. You can’t transfer more Hit Points than you have or more Hit Points than the target is missing.

Xysh scuttles out and lays a hand on Geiti.

Mystic Cure: 5d8 + 7 ⇒ (8, 4, 6, 6, 6) + 7 = 37

He then pushes some of his own vitality into her body, bringing her up to full health.

74-37=37 left. Xysh gives her 37 more HP, bringing himself down to 41 HP, but still full stamina.

Xysh floats around the backside of the server tower and glares at the tail of the serpent that she can see.

As the tongue lashes over his head, Xysh skitters backwards again. <If one of you can get Geiti, I have more healing, but I don't think I can get to her myself.> He stabs out with his mind again.

Xysh moves closer to the server tower and in a last ditch effort to get these things away from Geiti, casts confusion on the two serpents.

Xysh focuses on the yellow serpent again, hoping to blast it thoroughly this time.

Sorry, missed that it was a surprise round. I would haste just Geiti and Xysh, since the others are Operatives anyway.

Xysh moves up (either above or below Geiti) and casts Haste. I think that will get all of us, but I'm not positive.

Reminder that Zefira and I will be out of state after today, returning on Monday. Very likely not to have time to post for most of that.

Xysh starts cleaning and organizing the scattered materials, sorting out the actual trash from things that might be useful.

Xysh is *very* cold 10 cold resistance, though still upright.

<Well, that was thoroughly unpleasant. Zefira, you're definitely falling down on the job.> While his mind voice is teasing, you can definitely hear the pain he is in. <I think we should clear this level of stuff, then maybe we should rest for the day? I can continue if the team chooses.>

Xysh's mind-voice is full of distaste at the discoveries the team has been making. <This is just unshirren. No wonder they were keeping it all a secret.>

After Zefira finishes her computer work, <What next? I think we have one more door to explore on this level, then cleanup? Is there another place we haven't investigated yet?>

<Agreed.> Xysh cautiously heads out the far door into the other hallway towards the blue door, checking carefully for any more nasty surprises.

Xysh makes a face at the information Zefira has gathered. "This is more of the same sort of information we had from before. It's possible we'll find some sort of smoking gun."

"Do we want to keep exploring or gather up stuff here and rest for the day?"

I accidentally signed up for 12 games during Gameday. And that's with the one I had dropped. I need to scale back my instinct to jump into everything. :)

Xysh definitely takes the time to salvage the sedatives. If Zefira is willing to offer her battery, he'll work with Iskakii to get the computers up and running. "Anyone have a needler? Giant sleeping shots might be useful if we run into less juvenile eels somewhere down here. Or maybe we can just throw it...hmmmm."

Right. So many moving pieces. So no stamina needed to recover.

Xysh comes back to check on Geiti. <Are you OK? That looked painful.>

He moves around the room, looking for anything interesting while Zefira and Geiti rest.

Sorry, I didn't get Xysh's token moved for some reason. I'm going to roll for the Reflex save I would have taken if I'd been behind Geiti.

Reflex save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 So -32 HP

He scuttles back out of the way and fires at the robot again, using Helpful Telepath to give Geiti two rolls take best on her first attack.

As the blade rips through his companion, Xysh skitters forward and casts mystic cure (and hopes to not attract the robot's attention).

Healing: 7d8 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2, 8, 8, 8, 3, 4) + 7 = 41

If there needs to be exploding while Xysh is in range, feel free. He's got a bunch of resistances and healing was more important.

Xysh moves a little closer and tries to blow the robot up with his acid pistol.

Xysh keeps an eye on the robot, but just casts haste on the party, giving everyone a bit more movement in the water.

Xysh grumbles somethingsomethingconstructsdammit as he waffles between weapons. He steps forward and takes a shot with the disintegrator pistol.

Yup, whatever is closest works for Xysh. He already has a mk 3 electrostatic, so good for someone else to take.

Xysh nods in agreement. <These people have been here long enough. Let's bring them at least a little peace.> He goes to the piles of stuff and starts sorting through for some tarps or containers which we can use to gather up the bones of the lost.

If this would take enough time to include sorting through this pile, I would like to do that now. We can always come back down here tomorrow.

GM, do we have a time limit other than "a couple of days"? I don't think we want to be here for weeks, but I can't remember if the permit was for more than that.

You get the feeling that Xysh would have stuck his tongue out at Zefira, if he had one that was appropriate.

"I doubt another day underwater is going to make any difference to those things, but I also don't want to spend 4 days doing nothing but sifting through junk." Xysh shrugs and follows the team's lead.

He nods in agreement with Iskakii and Zefira. <Don't like this sneaking up on us. Would much rather clear out everything possible on each level before moving onward.> He moves up behind folks at the green door.

<I would like to rest if possible. That was rather more painful than the rocks. Something I didn't think I would be saying.>

He floats near the carcass to examine it while he's resting.

He follows the rest of the party through the safer stairwell, keeping a close eye on the surroundings. Don't forget everyone also has life bubble from Xysh. Won't help with movement, but breathing won't be a problem. Xysh has blindsense and darkvision 60'

Head ringing from the blast, Xysh futilely and belatedly covers his head with his hands, blinking rapidly from the pain. He tries to help Zefira disable it again.

Engineering to aid: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Xysh rushes to help the giants, but from his clumsy movements, this is not his usual mode of operation. If something like Force Blast would help, he will absolutely cast it. He focuses for a moment, becoming suddenly much more surefooted to help deflect the barrage of debris. Access Akashic Record for +12 to Acrobatics, -1 RP; Peer Into the Future for +4 to a check

Xysh crosses their arms and watches the cloud giant carefully. The simmering anger between the cloud and storm giants hasn't escaped him, but he also believes in the utopia that Elthel hopes for.

"Things definitely need a shakeup periodically." Xysh is studiously neutral in his comment, but the body language suggests that it's long overdue here.
