Description: Chen is a tall half-elf, lanky, with slender bones and fingers. Ever since he began his life as a fugitive, his eyes have begun a nervous habit of checking every corner of every room, obsessively worrying about his skin. His hair is blond and his eyes are green.

Outlander (Exile): An exile from Tian Xia, Chen was born to a human father and an elf mother who loved him very much. When his father fell ill to a disease that left elves mostly unaffected, Chen turned to the criminal underworld to secure a loan for the expensive treatment that was required. When he couldn't pay the loan shark off, it became too dangerous to stay in Tian Xia, and Chen fled to Sandpoint.

Resilient: To reach Sandpoint, Chen has had to travel far. All of the money he had not had to use on his father's treatment was used for his escape, and he wandered the many disparate islands of Tian Xia before finally leaving for the other nations. He's been exposed to diseases from all over the world and surviving them has made him tougher.

Honest: Chen's parents always tried to raise him to speak truthfully always. The one lie he told - "Yes, I will be able to pay this debt back" - cost his mother her life when the lie came out. As a result, Chen will always speak truthfully, no matter the consequences.
