To be perfectly honest I could see quick draw being a better use of your time using quick draw to draw multiple guns per round while dropping the guns that currently have no ammo in them. of course this could also be argued that it wouldn't count as 2 weapon fighting... to be honest pepper box and revolver seem the most appealing for a two weapon fighting gunslinger. the part I dislike about the pepper box though is the higher misfire chance (I believe it is a 1-2 range)
I would love to see that gunslinger build. Do either of you know if it is vanilla gunslinger or if it actually has an archetype? So what have we concluded on Two handed versus Two weapon. Two weapon is a high feat investment allowing little in game performance unless you develop a means to full attack every turn. Where as with two handed weapons you can take power attack, and deal double the normal amount of damage.
Question for everyone I realize not all campaigns allow the gunslinger but have any of you considered the massive damage potential for a two weapon fighting gunslinger wielding two revolvers. I can say this for sure sas long as you stay with in your first 5 range increments with those guns hitting enemies is an incredibly easy task. and the fact you could in theory do it every round makes it a viable option. Of course the gunslinger is campaign and play group specific and advanced fire arms tend to be incredibly powerful so you may wish to ignore the argument that gunslingers are two-weapon fighting monsters
I was originally looking at spinning throw but it states in the feat the target gets bull rushed before falling prone. thus creates the same problem as quick bull rush, and improved trip. Two weapon fighting is kind of flawed so that pretty much leaves me looking for haste or speed weapons to accomplish this combo. i think that about wraps up my questions for now.
So I came into a situation while designing a character tonight that I never encountered before. On BAB does the order of your actions have to follow Highest BAB to Lowest or is it possible to rearrange your action order? For example I have a Level 8 Fighter who uses Trips to set up bull rushes using the Quick Bull Rush feat from UC (which states that the Bull Rush most use the highest BAB for the action. Is it possible that I could use the trip first and use the bull rush to push the enemy along the ground as if he got hit back when he fell prone. Sorry if this doesn't make sense to some of you, but I'm sure some of you will understand exactly the point I'm trying to get across. |
