I thought that this was a great back story for our new player (Rogue/GhostWalker). He calls himself Hunter and is a third son of a minor WaterDeep noble. He's been a bounty hunter his life and was recently hired by a woman named "Mother M" to "take care of" a problem by the name of Loris Raknian.

He failed and had to Shadow Walk to escape. On the plane of Shadow he encountered the PC's as they were Shadow Walking to get to the Isle of Tilagos. A brief conversation ensues..... Much better than finding someone in a dungeon and they then join the group. Gives him motivation to hate Loris as much as the PC's.

Loris has since fled to Cormyr (FR Setting) and the PC's are planning on tracking him down. Hooray for side quests.

Ok so the fighter and cleric of Kelemvor (FR setting) go to sinners Sanctum to check it out. Furpotia is bluffed that the cleric is there to tend to the dead. They find the secret door and kill the Hangman golem by themselves. So they decide to continue down the well and encounter the OverGod. Here is a blow by blow of what happend.

OverGod wins initiative, moves up and beats the fighter unconcious.(I am using a critical hit chart from Combat and Tactics). The cleric steps out of the threatend range and casts Destruction on the OverGod. Beats the SR and then the OverGod fails its save. No more OverGod.

Two PC's kill the CR 17 Demon in one round. Anti-Climactic doesn't even begin to describe how the encounter was.

Currently the group is in the maze on Tilagos Island trying to find the person who keeps sniping at them during fights. They already have the Crystals but want to be sure that they won't be harrassed anymore.

One of the guys in my platoon saw the image of Celeste (from Champions Belt) and fell in love. I wonder how often this character infatuation occurs. Yes, we all love the dark and sexy priestess of Wee Jas. Just wondering.

So what do deployed soldiers do during their limited down time? Kill the agents of Kyuss is what.

My friends and I are half way through our "year" long deployment and have been playing the AoW as much as possible. Leave dates and long missions have delayed a serious amount of game time though. Our expression is "barring missions or explosions we'll game." Right now they are in the middle of a fight with the Worm Nagas (Spire).

The fact that we have a nice long adventure path is great. I can't thank the Dungeon crew enough. Two years ago we were playing in Afghanistan and it helped us get away from the war for a while. Anyways. Thanks for making it, thanks for reading this post and thanks for the great product you all put out.
