| Age |
Short and skinny (about 4'9" and maybe 85 lb. after stepping out of a bathtub) many have made the mistake of seeing her as a harmless kid. But Wren is a full grown woman of 24 years, with raven hair worn long and a pretty, waif-like face. |
| Special Abilities |
Wren is very adept with electronics - whether trying to get into a safe, a locked door, or even using ship sensors. She doesn't care for guns, but knows which end to hold at least. In a fight though, she is lethal with her knives or even her hands. |
| Occupation |
Wren may be a thief, but never say that to her face. She favors black clothes, from her tall boots to her thick leather jacket. Wren always keeps several knives close at hand, five concealed in her jacket and a non-metallic dagger in her right boot. |

"Well, let's see... I was born on Albion. My daddy was a genius. Don't give me that look, I'm serious! If it ran on circuits, he could get it workin' again. Guess maybe he wasn't so smart as some of them science-minded fellas, but who do you think they came to when their fancy computers broke? My daddy, that's who. Mama left when I was little, don't recall much of her at all. Daddy told me she was a wild one, like one of them colorful birds you could keep in a cage if you wanted to, but that doin' it wouldn't be right. So he let her go, even though it hurt his heart. Daddy always said I looked like her, and he was always glad for that. But I think that hurt him too sometimes."
"Just wait, I'm gettin' there. You're the one asked me to start at the beginnin', and that's what I'm doin'. Anyway, where was I? Oh, right. Well, sometimes daddy needed parts and such he couldn't afford. And well, I've always been pretty small, so's I could sometimes crawl into places maybe I shouldn't have to find those bits and pieces he needed to fix those fancy computers. Now just hold on, I see you typin' on that screen of yours, and don't you never mind lookin' up my daddy on account of me confessin' all that. He died more'n ten years back an' I wasn't old enough to be held accountable. Leastways that's what the courts said. Besides, I did my time in foster homes until I got old enough to find work on my own."
"Well now see, that's what I been tryin' to tell you! That's what I do, I work in 'lectronics, just like my daddy did. Well, I can't really put 'em together if'n they break, but I know how to use 'em when they're workin' proper. That's my job, as you well know. Or it was my job, leastways. No! How many times I gotta go over this? How should I know why my boss moved all them credits to that bank account on Osiris? He's a rich old director at Blue Sun and I'm just a techie workin' for him! No, I don't know nuthin' 'bout anyone breakin' into his office an' usin' his fancy 'puter to make the transfer! What? You sayin' it was me? Well just how could I have got past his front desk an' all those armed guards without proper ID? Oh! Wow... so, you mean to say someone scaled up the side of that big ol' building and went through a tiny old air duct? An' you sayin' it was me? I'm small, but I ain't that small - an' I don't care what your fancy measurements say!"
"Now I don't know much about the law, but I reckon you need some kinda evidence to hold me here, isn't that right? Well I ain't plannin' on luxuriatin' in one o' your cells while you go lookin' to find somethin'! No, I promise I ain't gonna leave the city or the planet. Do I look like I can afford to go somewhere even if I wanted to? That qing wa cao de liu mang got me pinched, and I'm pretty sure he ain't gonna give me my old job back, so's I'm broke!"
<tears begin to stream down the cheeks of her waif-like face, but she looks up with shimmering brown eyes glimpsed through her dark, raven-like bangs>
"So. You gonna let me out of here? I'm tired an' hungry, but I guess I'm just gonna have to sleep in an alley an' eat rats since I don't even got a single credit to my name!"
<two hours later at Evesdown Docks, shortly after picking up a bundle of gear and a pouch full of platinum in a dark alley a few blocks away from the Blue Sun office building where she used to work>
"Good day sir, are you by chance taking on passengers? Oh, quite honestly it doesn't matter to me where you're going. So long as it gets me off this mudball, I'll be quite happy. Will you take platinum for payment?"
