== Description ==
"Wraith" (real name witheld) has the rugged build of someone who's spent a lot of years in paid labor. His natural frame is not exactly what would qualify for "starting left tackle", so it's clearly earned. Although his tireless training has earned him dark shadows under his eyes, his head of dark grey hair is still full, if unkempt.
Few would guess at his prior occupation and place of training, as he now sports a much cleaner wardrobe, leaving behind the constant moisture and cold of Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean. Now he wears simpler rain-resistent hiking pants and breathable shirts. Over that non-descript fit, an oversized trenchcoat that often helps to hide weapons.
== Background ==
Amongst the boats docked at Fishermen's Terminal in Salmon Bay, there exist a small number of floating dojos. The mooring fees are cheaper than rent in the city, and they have the flexibility of traveling up and down th Pacific coast for exposure to more companies and fixers.
Wraith's parents left the PNW long ago. Got into too much debt or something. They left him with his uncle who runs one of the floating dojos: The Shadow Squids. When there wasn't violent work to be had, they could maintain modestly by selling seafood to local restuarants. Anyway, he barely remembers his parents these days. Vague dreams, memories and figments.
He's greatful for all his uncle has done for him, but confinement on even a larger boat gets tiresome. Eventually he slowly shifts to doing jobs with friends in the city. At first it's a couple of days a week, and before his uncle knows it the boat is often leaving without Wraith.
No matter. Family is still good for a favor or consult every now and then. Maybe bail. At least his katana doesn't smell like shellfish these days.
== Concept ==
Wraith is a fan of certainty. Amongst StreetSams, he's not what most would consider a risk-taker, or adrenaline junky. Perhaps it's the influence of a floating dojo, and the measure wisdom of a survival tradition. He also prefers not to stand out too much. Occupying the background of his more vibrant friends suits him just fine. He knows they trust him to get things done when the moment arrives on a job, and he takes pride in not letting them down.
