My forehead still vibrates from time to time.

William takes a deep breath and begins concentrating, focusing his mind upon Mikhail, attempting to stimulate and enhance Mikhail's brain functions.

Full Round Action - Coordinate: Charisma check DC=10 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

This task proves to much for William and the resulting psychic backlash causes him to lose balance and slump to the ground.

Free Action - drop prone

William stands up and moves behind a rock for cover.
"We need to do something about those snipers" he says calmly in his standard monotone. You would never guess he was in the middle of a firefight, if it wasn't for the fact that you're in it as well.

Move: stand up
Move: to K-32

William moves forward J-29 pulling a fragmentation grenade off his hip and tossing it at S1's feet,
1d20 ⇒ 15 (1d4 ⇒ 4 the grenade lands in the top left corner of square J-23)
catching S1, S2, S3 and S4 in the blast

Damage 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 6) = 17 Reflex DC 15 saves for half = 8

Wiliiam then drops prone in an attempt to make himself less of a target. AC vs Ranged = 21, AC vs melee = 13

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Wiliam follows Alec to (J-33 running during the second part of his movement if neccesary) hearing Alec's warning of "contact" William looks over the rock during his approach Perception check: 1d20 ⇒ 7 "I can't see a thing." William says as he crouches down doing his best to gain some cover behind the now crowded rock.

"I'd say, either send the armor in first or move together in force. As for the climb, unless we have rope and some gear, I wouldn't. Infiltrating a compound with a broken leg would be difficult at best."

William steps behind Jacquelin (K-45) and peers around the rock.

"I think we should move up to that big rock striaght ahead of Ajax"
points M&N-29
"Then have Ajax go around the right side as a diversion while the rest of us slip around to the left.
If anyone else has a better idea, I'm willing to listen."

Edit: no problems viewing any of the maps.

Place William at J-45
Also would it be too much trouble to put letters at the bottom of the map as well.

William takes the safety off his pistol but leaves it in it's holster, he readies his assault rifle flicking the safety off and loading a round in the chamber. William glances around at his squad-mates, nodding at each to show his readiness.

"No questions, sir. I am ready."

As Alec shakes William's hand, a slight tightening of the grip and a brief flicker of emotion in William's eyes are all Alec needs to tell that the moment truly touched him. "Good luck to you, as well" is all he says before resuming his attentive stance, his eyes now fixed solely on the lieutenant.

William made his way to his quarters and collected his gear, once he had everything in it's place he sat down on the ground and began to meditate. It wasn't long before the alarm began to sound, he stood up and checked the clock "7 minutes left, should be just enough to get to sim chamber."
William arrived with 1 minute to spare, gave the lieutenant a salute and the took his place with the others. The anticipation was palpable as the time for the "gauntlet" drew near.

William turns his head to Zaviera " Does it itch?" he asks, then he tilts his head inquisitively in responce to Alec's comments, not understanding the reference " Perhaps we should keep a fire extinguisher at the table."

“It does seem unlikely that you could.” Williams says to Mikhail without managing to be of any help, realizing this he adds. “Sometimes you need to play a bad hand... to throw off your opponents... it's like throwing a high punch when the real threat is the low kick, then the next time you throw a punch they'll be worrying about the kick."

William raises an eyebrow in response to Zaviera's bared teeth, a slight up turn to his lips showning only the faintest of smiles.

Alec MacGregor wrote:
"Gah, Bill, are you doing that whole...vibrating frontal lobe thing entirely by accident?"

”It... vibrates...?” William says, as he arches his brows and looks upward as if trying to see his own frontal lobe.

Alec MacGregor wrote:
"That takes a lot of getting used to--it ooked me right the hell out at first. Don't you think pulling that 'sim sim salabim' stuff at the card table is cheating a bit, though?"

”Yes it probably would be cheating, which is why I only observe. The time spent around the table with you all is very valuable to me.”

“As for the “flashes” I've only seen one in a video, it was... strange... I must admit. I'm not even aware that they've happened... I don't remember them, the scientist at the Directive think it's because they are not “mine” to remember.”

William pauses for a moment and then adds in a hushed tone. “You should probably fold this hand.” He says bluffing playfully.

William spends most of his time running VR simulations of demolition runs, stealth infiltrations and target practice (pistol and light assault rifle) as well as exercises/stretches to get limber, lean and mean.
He also spends a good deal of time in meditation to shut out the thoughts of others that sometimes intrudes in a psychic babble that floats throughout the ship, while his nights are spent observing the card game, tuning into each of his commrades minds, strengthening his psionic rapport with the squad.

“I shall look forward to your results” he says to Jacq “and if nukes were involved as Mikhail suggests their may be mutations as well, it's possible we may find something that won't be perceived as human... pure speculation, of course.”

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 9

V...R...? Ah yes... I remember now. Very well Commander, I am ready to begin training as soon as you deem fit.

What type of training do you have planned and how closely can we simulate Terra here in space... also have our scientists given any thought to a de-evolved human population and what that might look like with a 1000 years elapsed.

William waits patiently for Commander Martin to continue.

William gives a measured salute, "Commander." is all he says before taking his seat, awaiting the debrief.

William is dressed in black fatigues neatly pressed and tucked, on his belt is small black case that carries intellipicks, on his right forearm is a gauntlet style unicom with motion sensor LCD and a knife handle is visible poking out of the top of his well polished boot.

A nanobeacon is implated at the base of Williams neck (back side)

Is William in the briefing room as well?

Yea I saw that, but since I'm using Pathfinders rules for grappling, I used them exclusively for resolving all things related to the CMB/CMD system.

Oh! I'm sorry, I missed that, I'll add CMB/CMD to my profile then. ;)

For those that haven't played Mass Effect 2 and don't mind a small spoiler ( I guess I kinda let the cat out of the bag already, sorry) here is small 29 sec clip.

Thane Flashback.

Sweet, I like it a lot.

Thanks,

I totally ripped-off Thane from Mass Effect 2 for the psychic hiccup. Though re-purposed for my characters psionic/charisma talents. :D

I'll let you know when you can start posting, as the PCs are now in the middle of something at the moment. Keep an eye out for it.

Cool, will do! Looking forward to this. :)

Level 2 HP 1d6 ⇒ 2
re-roll 1d6 ⇒ 1
re-roll 1d6 ⇒ 6 yeah! :)

We get full die value for level 1 HP, correct?

Edit: HP total now in profile.

Jason Collum's charater, submited for approval.

Still working on backstory

General Info: A psi-ops agent focused on boosting squad members efficiency and enemy sabotage.
Somewhat like Neil Patrick Harris as Col. Carl Jenkins in Starship Troopers.
"Would you like to know more?"
