The man he helped off of the floor didn't seem to acknowledge his presence. With a shrug, William gathered his things and went to the bar to order another glass of wine. As it happened, he ended up next to an Osiron native, and a rather wealthy looking one at that. Hmm, looks like I'm not the only wealthy prodigy looking to make a name for themselves. I wonder what her incentive is? He pondered mentally. After a moment, the young man asked, "Pardon me ma'am, are you here for the lottery as well?"
The young man reached down and helped the armored figure back to his feet and was about to ask him something, when the music started. Well that certainly is..... different. He thought. Turning back to the man who bumped into him, William asked, "Beg your pardon sir, but if you would be so kind as to try and watch where you are going, it would be appreciated." Glancing at his journal, a grin involutarily crossed his face. It's already starting to look like Father's.
A tall Taldan man, wearing leather armor over a set of clothes one would expect to see an explorer wearing, walked into the Blue Macaw, weary from the voyage across the Inner Sea. Looking around the establishment, his thoughts drifted back years to a little tavern in Varisia that his father and him went to on an expedition for some Thassilonian artifacts. Good times. He thought to himself while briefly adjusting the rapier hanging from his left hip. Quickly he found a vacant seat at a nearby table and ordered a glass of wine and some roasted meat. Pulling out a small, leather bound book, an inkpen, and ink, he began writing. Day 1: Arrived at the Blue Macaw in Wati, a rather pleasant establishment with a rich atmosphere. Currently waiting on my order and for the lottery to begin. With any luck, I'll be selected and gain the opportunity to unearth some great relics. I should see if Sadda is in town, perhaps he could provide me with some insight to the Necropolis, just as he has for Father over the years.
Falle_Mage here with my submission of William Fordson Jr. This is just the Background, I won't be able to properly do crunch until later. I plan on making him a Human Magus that uses a whip as well as spells. ----------------------------------- William Fordson Jr. was born and raised a treasure hunter. His father, William Fordson Sr., a renowned adventurer who specializes in infiltrating ancient tombs and ruins, not for profit, but for posterity. While his mother, Evelyn, on the other hand, a well-respected scholar and teacher. Every time William Sr. left on a quest to some far of land, Evelyn would spend a great deal of time teaching their son about the past. When William turned 16, his father began taking him on expeditions. It was during these trips he discovered he had a knack for it. However, after watching his father struggle with some of the more mystical obstacles, the young man looked for ways to incorporate magical aptitude into his skill set. After several years, he finally figured out a way to use magic in conjunction with his whip technique that he learned from a friend of his father. Now, his parents retired, William carries on their legacy for treasure recovery and scholarly pursuit. Hearing of an opportunity in Osiron, William Fordson Jr. has set out to hone his abilities and become as famous as his father, and perhaps even surpass. |
