"The roots of the ancient tree are afflicted by some kind of blight, though the branches and trunk are not. The tree will not survive another decade at this rate. Also, there is something very odd about the plants in town, not just here. Despite the harsh climate, they are exceptionally healthy. The townsfolk are growing garden crops that typically grow poorly together, as well as crops that are not in season. Crops that require enormous amounts of pollination flourish despite a marked lack of bees in the area."

Second scenario in a row? Getting old :p The writers are all on to a new 'challenge' "What? Are you mad? You would leave me walking vulnerable and unprotected without my bow or rapier? Why these are dangerous times and this is a dangerous place! Just on the journey here we were viciously attacked by a gnoll and his war beast! An outrage that you would expect guests to wander in here completely without defences in such a time and place. My bow, certainly, I would be more than happy to see it securely kept in custody at the Inn or the like where I can readily retrieve it when leaving town, but you ask too much. I wish an audience with your mayor or headman."

"This place is PERFECT!" Rain exclaims to Pal as she sweeps her arms around the room. "Pal, it seems Desna smiles today. I am Rain, also known as 'welcome' Rain because I can break the drought of your boredom with dashing tales of derring-do. I have a proposition for you, I travel with a troupe of performers and artists, and tonight I want to take your tavern on a journey to the far and exotic Tian nation... imagine your guests being treated to tales of the deadly Oni, the mysterious Tengu Ninja's, or even the tale of the tricky Monkey king? What about having your drinks shelf turned into amazing concoctions expertly mixed by our artisan of alcohol?" she points to Cyjke [/b]"Or even being able to pay a visit with the mystical and mysterious fortune teller to have their future divined? It is said she can predict your future, and bring luck by writing ones future on a pearl - the sacred symbol of the dragons of Tian Xia, and as long as you show no one else the pearl your actions will draw their blessing"[/b] Rain looks about "Of course we would be looking at a small profit share on the sale of any pearls, and we'd need to close the bar today whilst we set up and our criers went to the streets to drum up business, but looks quiet in here - you stand to make a good profit" Three checks, not in order, but seem to be the most relevant
