Hi All,
Firstly, loving the game : ) I've been scoping the forums and FAQ daily to check up on various rules issues I've encountered and to make sure I'm playing it correctly. This is the first time I've posted, though.
I searched for this answer, but did not see it anywhere.
OK, so.
In the rulebook, concerning the exploration of closed locations, it says, "Characters may move to closed locations and, if there are any cards there, may explore and encounter those cards as normal". (p. 13)
For the three cases in which you can close a location (defeating a henchman or villain, or running out of cards) you would not have cards there to explore. Defeating the henchman and villain in that location causes you to banish all of the cards.
Is there some other way to have cards in a closed location and to explore there? Or perhaps this was just a clarification that may be relevant in a future expansion.
I've actually explored closed locations before, but I'm 98% sure it was because I left the rules out for dead... In any event, I don't remember how I managed to get to that point and haven't been able to replicate it since.
Thank you for any help!
