A fun history of Operation Overlord to convince the Nazis that the invasion of France would happen in Calais instead of Normandy. I don’t know of any books to suggest on the topic, but the various deceptions used by the Allies in WWII are fascinating. I understand that a fake Cairo was created for the Germans to bomb during the African campaign. And of course, the body with the fake documents that was dropped off near Spain, to suggest that the invasion of Sicily was going to be on Crete instead.

I use a toothpaste that contains fluoride. Because of this, I don’t want my water to also be treated with fluoride. There is an MCL and a secondary MCL for fluoride. Otherwise, the Christmas Carol point is well made and humorous.
Oh, that’s the funny part. I have around 1,500 hours of sick time. I just didn’t want to go to the doctor for a cold. Doctors can get sick too. Would have been best for me to just stay home till I was feeling better.
I was told that the smallpox vaccine works on mpox as well. I had a nasty bout of the “common cold “ post Thanksgiving. My company policy calls for a doctor’s note after 2 sick days. So I was back at work on the third day, even though I wasn’t really ready. I’m pretty sure it prolonged my symptoms. |
