Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on these forums (and a supporter of Paizo) for a while now, and thought this might be the best place to find people who might be interested in participating in this little idea I have.
I've been mulling over the idea of putting together a RPG e-zine for a while now. There's a number of great periodicals out there in the industry, but most of that is based on generating new content for players and DMs.
My idea is to, publisher-neutral, put together news on the goings on in the industry, feature articles and interviews with personalities in the industry, and reviews of products into a monthly publication, which will look and read like a magazine-stand publication, in .pdf format.
The reviews, especially, will be a big part of the publication - there's a lot of reader reviews out there on the internet, but very little criticism (as in, in the same vein of film, literature and games reviews)
So basically I'm on the search for people that might be willing to help put together a pilot – and perhaps be involved beyond that. Most importantly, I need a graphics and layout designer – I have not got the software or experience to actually put a decent looking page together once I have the content.
Decent writers and artists keen to get in on the project will also be very, very welcome.
Work will be pro bono initially, since I'm setting this up on no budget. I am very serious about this though and will be looking for ways to make money out of it if I can get it off the ground.
So, after this very long post – is there anyone interested in being involved? It's all in conceptual stages at the moment, but the RPG industry has given me so much entertainment since my youth, and as a journalist I'd like to do my bit to contribute to what is out there.
