Hey guys

I'm gonna have to bow out of playing. I just don't feel that I can keep up with the mechanics enough to provide and enjoyable game for all involved. I love playing, but with all of the questions I have I know its annoying some of you. Yes, I've been playing for years, but the entire time I've been in recovery teaching in TWO new jobs, moved twice and so haven't been able to be as detail oriented as Mathfinder requires. I feel that I cannot be of further help on this journey. I would accompany Jenesara home. perhaps there is a druid amongst them from whom I could learn. Hey GM, on my character sheet i have darts +3. wth are those? i decided to give them a try but wahhe's aim sucks. lls.

Wahhe grunts as she has become particularly fond of those pesky stirges. But at this point she's had it. She steps to the edge of the boat, takes a dart out and throws it at seacat 2.

She realizes her wasted attack and mutters "respond, not react."

I have darts + 3...no clue where they came from but that's what's on my paper sheet and on here. dont remember but seems a waste

Question about maintaining grapple. How does it work? "A stirge has a +8 racial bonus to maintain its grapple on a foe once it is attached. An attached stirge can be struck with a weapon or grappled itself—if its prey manages to win a grapple check or Escape Artist check against it, the stirge is removed." But then it says it effectively has an AC of 12 because it loses it's AC bonus. Does the cat have to get out of the grapple first?

I figured the top two stirges would naturally go to 1 and the other flew to two cuz i imagined them appearing sort of in the middle toward ready to go whichever way the cats moved. Wahhe wants to casst entangle on seacat 1, but is there enough sea grass or seaweed to do so?

Stirge 1 to cat 1 attach: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Stirges 2 to cat 1 attach: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Stirge 2 makes a frustrated buzz sound unable to grab on.

Stirge 1 grapples sea cat 1 and sinks its probiscus deep into it. percentage for disease: 1d100 ⇒ 58

Stirge 3 sinks its probiscus into cat 2. percentage for disease: 1d100 ⇒ 95

both drain 1 con to their respective meals but no diseases are passed on

Hey all so i took a peek at the loot page. Can someone explain how that works to me? I saw where the loot was when we hunted the drakes (nothing I wanted) and then more recently. Do we claim things in the discussion (here) or does someone make a decision (captain -- lark at the time) or...?

I'm good with whatever you decide. I'm confessing to not keeping track of personal wealth and need to backtrack. Part of it is just plain absent-mindedness. In 5e gold is almost worthless and unless I'm in a town where I can buy something my DMs won't let me buy squat so I'm out of habit of buying things out of context. And I was spoiled b/c we had one person that tracked loot and told us what we each got and even then I was bad about writing it down. I will make a better effort.

Wahhe swims toward Thren, lays a hand on her shoulder and casts "calming touch" curing her of calming: 1d6 ⇒ 6 +4hp non-lethal damage. (total of 10) sorry, i rolled the dice and saw subsequently it's + 1hp per druid level. is that ok GM? "Thren, let's get to that hatch.Can I help?"

"Agreed." Wahhe looks around behind them making sure nothing she is watching them go in. She looks up as far as she can see, out as far as she can see, and takes a minute to study below -- especially in the sand and any parts under the boat where something could hide in shadows, then watches following only when she knows the coast is clear outside.

Speaking of both stupidly similar game terms and the term "traits," I noticed while botting you, you pasted your racial special qualities under "traits" but that's not what that section is for. That's for taking the character traits listed here. You should have chosen two of them at character creation. They must be from a different section (like, you can't take two traits that are both listed under "Social"). You can also choose one of the traits listed in the Skull and Shackles Players Guide as one of your choices.

If you'd like some suggestions, I'd suggest this as one of them:
Water-Touched (Magic): You share an affinity with elemental water. You gain DR 1/— against creatures and attacks with the water type.

I don't know if you can help or not, but I want in that water . I had half a mind to ask Jane or Catalina to tie a rope to me and throw me over so I might swim beneath. I wanted to talk to the sea creatures to learn more about what's out there, under us--gather any information I could. But I know little about this part of the sea and all I can tell is that there are squid and jellyfish about -- not much I can learn from something without a brain. I don't know what I'm asking, Captain. But I thought, of all people here, you could keep me in mind should you need something down there. Eventually, one day, i wish to know enough and have enough power to kill that hag. Right now, I need to get stronger. Alas, i have no mentor. " [/b]

Wahhe shares with Catalina about being born on Dagon's Palp and how she got to Lilywhite, how she came to love the sea (gnome pirates) how she came to see the necessity of pirating and manipulating trade (she gets a little political there), about losing her mentors/trainers, and her personal animosity toward the Hag. She deliberately leaves out anything that shows bias against some humans (as she wants peace and is fast learning that her experiences on Dagon's Palp were due to people's desperation not their race). She does mention to Catalina that she wishes she could have time to jump overboard and swim and see what's down there--that she'd be willing to tie herself to a rope so as not to get left behind just to see below!

Once she knows what's out there she has a plan to call them smaller on day 1 to larger on day 2 and 3.

ok i'm not sure what i can call. i've been trying to figure out CR rating and while it's stated id ont know what mine is compared to theirs. so GM if youc an tell me what i can call, then i will. the goal is to 1) see what's out there that i can learn things from -- esp mamals but also other sea animals like sealions, etc Esp if there's anything I can share with the Captain.
2) maybe do something impressive to make the crew oooh and aw or at least go "oooooh" 3) make a couple friends in the water (wild empathy -- charm animal if i need to ake an angry animal not angry anymore)
