Background:
William Jenkins was seventeen when he started his transformation in a soulless bloodsucking creature, enrolling in a course in Financial Law. When he was twenty-five, he was one of the most feared tributary agents in Korvosa, until he made the fatal error of trying to collect revenue from a neighboring vampire lord who was two hundred years behind with his payment. Strong in his knowledge of law as he was, he was no match for the lord, who turned him into a vampire and forced him into his servitude for sixty years. Then, a group of wandering adventurers slew the master and unwittingly freed him. He wanted to return to his old job, but he realized that even among financial lawyers, who would accept most monstrosities provided they had their paperwork in order, he would have been seen as an unpleasantness to say the least. Finding in the Evil Overlord Monthly an announcement that looked tailored to him was a godsend, and he applied enthusiastically after finding himself a new, more striking name.
Vladimir is your theatrical, overblown and hammy vampire, as you can see in old-timey flicks and the Discworld novels. He speaks in a (fake) heavy Ustalavian (Slavic) accent, he wears a black and red opera cape, he monologues in front of windows showing a full moon and he summons swarms of vampire just to add to the effect. This is because he found out that adventurers are easily distracted by what they expect to see. He does not currently have short- or medium-term goals, seeing as he "works" in the dungeon, but in the future he would like to get his own fief, perhaps somewhere in Geb.
