About Vincent Goldheirch
Born to Varisian parents in Ustalov, Vincent Goldhierch was constantly tormented by his older sister. The Goldhierch bloodline was quite rare in that most of the women in the family usually developed Kineticist powers, as was the case with Vincent's sister, Linda. Throughout their childhood, Linda constantly belittled her younger brother that he wouldn't amount to anything while she proudly carried on the bloodline. This mental torment drove the young Vincent to drink excessively and eventually fall in with petty thieves and shady businessmen. He eventually carved out a niche for himself in Guaril Karela's organization as a brewer in one of the Scazarni's many fronts for his illegal activities.
Never able to escape the mental torture of his sister, Vinny's self-confidence was never high. Nonetheless, he found a woman just as miserable as him, and the two had a son, Franklin. Eventually, Guaril Karela weaseled Vinny into the pathfinder society in order to have another agent working for him. However, on one of his first few missions, he was thrown into the multiverse, miraculously surviving and coming to stop on a monastery of aasimar.
The aasimar helped Vincent recover from the mental trauma of his sister for a time, and taught him how to center himself though martial arts. For a while, Vincent was able to forget his past as a thief, and eventually came out of the process reborn. After several months, though, the pathfinders managed to track him down and returned him to Absolom, where he discovered, in his absence, that both Linda and his son had joined the society.
Returning to drink almost immediately, as Linda renewed her litany of mental torture on him, Vinny discovered that alcohol mixed with his martial arts training to develop a strange sort of synergy within his body. Now determined to be a better person in life, and to prevent Linda from torturing his son as she tortured him, Vincent is doing his best to take his life back.
