Viemos Kendahan's page

Viemos was one of 10 children born to his mother, Visorianna Kendahan. Visorianna was a rather well known priests of Calestria in Lipidstadt and many would flock to the temple as well as her home to warship the great goddess with her. Viemos was one of the lucky ones, as he was blessed to have a human father. 8 of his other siblings were not so lucky. Half-elves and Half-Orcs were common in his family.
As he grew older he spent more time away from his home and started to roam the streets. The streets of Lipdidstat were no place for a child to roam unattended but he proved he could hold his own with his fists. This ability to defend himself attracted the attention of two local men. One, Professor Lorrimore, was a professor at the University at Lipidstat and often looked after Viemos when he was younger. When ever it got late and Viemos needed somewhere to stay on those nights that his mother was “practicing her religion” all night he could often stay with the great professor. The other man he met ultimately took Viemos under his wing when the professor was off on an adventure and helped Viemos hone his skills as a fighter. With the help of this man Viemos started to participate in gladiatorial fights throughout Ustalav. This is where his fame started to grow throughout the land.
This is also where he met his first love, Aliya, a beautifully stunning young woman. She too would roam the streets but unlike him she didn't have a family to go home to. So he took it upon himself to be there for her whenever she needed. It was his ability to be there for her through the hard times that lead them to be wed.
Many years were spent with his love and fighting in gladiatorial events and he was making a rather good living. Then it happened, Aliya became pregnant. At first everything was going normally until that fateful night when she went into labor. There were complications with the birth and unfortunately Aliya as well as Viemos's unborn daughter, Talea, died in the birthing process. Viemos, no knowing who else to turn to had turned to his mentor, teacher, and promoter for support. That’s where the truth came out about that man, he was only interested in the money that Viemos brought in and cared very little for him beyond that. No help was offered but he tried to take advantage of Viemos’s condition and book him in a big fight. In a fit of rage Viemos attached his promoter and a scuffle broke out and eventually turned out of hand. Viemos won naturally but had badly injured his promoter, it was only a stroke of luck that he was able to regain his composure and not kill the man.
He fled the scene and tried to reconnect with some of his siblings but they all wanted nothing to do with him, feeling that he had abandoned them for his own selfish desires. Knowing that his career was very decidedly over and not knowing nowhere else to go he spent his entire life savings and fled Lapidstat. It held way to many painful memories for him now. Thankfully he had saved up a lot of money in the months leading up to his daughters birth and he was able to make it all the way to Taldor. Not knowing where else to go and knowing he needed help in processing recent events he entered a monastery in Taldor. It was there that he found protection from his past and a new relationship with his God Iori. He spent the next 3 years rededicating his ways to the teachings of the master of masters. It was while he was training that he got word of the late professors death.

One of the goals he wants to achieve in game is to try and rebuild his connection with his family. He burned a lot of bridges when he was a gladiator and he feels now that he’s a lot more stable that his family needs his help. He knows his mother won’t do much to help them…she never did for him.
Another goal he has is to spread his faith to those willing to hear his message. He’s a bit of an evangelist and will help those in need, especially those who come from broken homes.

Secret one-As much as he can he tries to downplay his past as a famous fighter. Its been three years since he’s left Lipidstat and if recognized he will out right deny being “that guy”. He wants nothing to do with is old fame.
Secret two-He does not know it but his grandmother was the wife of the Sheriff killed in the prison.

He’s tied to his grandmother(though he doesn’t know it), Many people in lapidstat will recognize him if he returns there, and if the promoter is still woring in the city I’m sure there might be an arrest attempt on site there.

Three key memories that define Viemos are his dead wife, dead child, and the family he has left behind. He also remembers Professor Lorrimore very well but never knew he had a daughter.

One thing that he fears is being recognized for his old life. The last three years have been dedicated to becoming as radically different as he could from those old days.
