Combat Stamina Tricks:

Combat Expertise (Combat):
You can select this feat even if you don't meet the ability score prerequisite (Intelligence 13). You gain the benefit of this feat only as long as you have at least 1 stamina point in your stamina pool. If you spend stamina points to raise an attack roll using the Combat Stamina feat's benefits, ignore an amount of your Combat Expertise penalty equal to the number of stamina points you spent.

Deadly Aim (Combat):
When using this feat, you can spend 4 stamina points to reduce the penalty to attack rolls imposed by the feat by 1 until the beginning of your next turn. You can't reduce the penalty below 0.

Power Attack (Combat):
When using this feat, you can spend 2 stamina points to gain the benefits and the hindrances of that feat until the end of your turn, instead of until your next turn.

Weapon Finesse (Combat):
You can spend 2 stamina points to negate the penalty on attack rolls from your shield's armor check penalty until the start of your next turn.

Double Slice:
When you hit an opponent with both a primary-hand attack and an off-hand attack while using Two-Weapon Fighting, you can spend a number of stamina points up to half your Strength bonus. If you do, add a bonus on the damage roll of the second of the two attacks equal to the number of stamina points you spent. You can use this combat trick only once per round.

Two-Weapon Fighting:
You can spend any number of stamina points to reduce the penalty from Two-Weapon Fighting on attacks made with a weapon in your primary hand by 1 for every 2 stamina points you spent. This benefit lasts until the start of your next turn. You can't reduce the penalty below 0.

Improved Grapple:
When you are the target of a grapple combat maneuver to initiate or maintain a grapple, you can spend a number of stamina points up to your Strength or Dexterity bonus, whichever is greater. Your CMD against that grapple attempt increases by that number.

Improved Unarmed Strike:
When you deal nonlethal damage with an unarmed strike, you can spend up to 5 stamina points to deal an amount of additional nonlethal damage equal to double the amount of stamina points you spent.

Improved Shield Bash:
When attempting a shield bash attack, you can spend 5 stamina points to either wield a heavy shield as if it were a light weapon or gain a +2 bonus on the shield bash attack roll with a light shield. Whichever option you choose, the effect lasts until the start of your next turn.

Personality: Victor is stoic in the public eye. He doesn’t speak unless spoken to, generally, but is polite and friendly ultimately.

Background: Victor is the son of Lord Markus Karthis, Primarch of House Karthis. However, he has the unfortunate pleasure of also being the son of a dalliance between Markus and a traveling songstress who was performing for Markus’ unit. The young captain took a fancy to her, and the two shared several nights of passion in his private tent at their assigned post.

When she arrived on his doorstep with a baby a year and a half later, she was spurned and cast out. Lady Sophia, Markus’ wife, was beside herself with rage, but knew better than to risk her social status and marriage by making too large of an ordeal about it. But when the baby’s mother turned up missing, Markus, still an honorable sort, took the child in despite Sophia’s protestations and insistence to let it go to an orphanage.

Over the years, Victor grew up alongside the true-born Karthis children, who always made sure to remind him of his place. A fact Markus and Sophia never once refuted. Even when his older brother Tiberius bullied him. After one particularly violent session of tormenting from Tiberius, Victor lashed out in his own defense, breaking the young lord’s nose. When the boys retold their story, Markus and Sophia believed Tiberius, and Victor faced the lash as punishment. From that day on, Victory knew he would never be seen as an equal in the family.

Even so, he was treated comparatively well, as bastards go. He lived in a nice estate, ate fine foods, and wore fine clothes. He wasn’t allowed to formally train in the higher schools of art and swordplay, but he learned a lot in private training from the Master at Arms. He was eventually granted a position in the Karthis House Guard, often times assigned as bodyguard to his sister Sonya.

During one such assignment, he crossed paths with a particularly charming, but forward, young maiden of House Darahan. He knew he shouldn’t have let his eyes linger, especially when he noticed her own lingering in turn. And he should not have returned her flirtations. Or let her sneak into his room. Multiple times. But...young passion being as it is, rational thought seemed to leave the both of them during those nights that turned into a week, and then two.

Eventually, though, the two had to part ways. He knew he couldn’t court her without besmirching her own families name, which in turn would have caused him even more woe within his own House, as limited of a position as he held. So, the two parted ways, and he assumed he would simply share with her the fond memories of their nights together in secret until they traveled the Boneyard.

The next couple of years were more of the same old routine to which he had grown accustomed. Long, dull years that left him wishing that there was a greater purpose to his life beyond simply following protocol and making certain his sisters and brother were properly protected and entertained.
