About Victor Freedman

Victor was born in the northlands to a family of farmers/shepherds. He lived this life for a while till a traveling minstrel expanded his horizons with visions of the outside world. The idea that he'd live for another 30 years in drudgery on a cold farm looked mighty bleak to someone like Victor who actually had talent and brains. He pleaded with the minstrel to take him along, and joined the show telling jokes and wisecracks.

Eventually, the two of them were waylaid by brigands, and Victor managed to fight them off, though his mentor was dead by the end. Interestingly enough, among the loot of the brigands was a map to a lost crypt. Victor followed the map, and looted the tomb, finding a good bit of valuables, and was able to bedeck himself in better equipment.

Deciding he liked the life of crypt explorer more than entertainer, he started on a new career, and has been very good at it, enjoying a lucrative history.
