![]() Those who go to meet Verik notice that as before, there are very few guards about. The absolute minimum required who are either stationed alone or with atleast 1 other pwerson. Verik simply sits in his cell, having eaten his meal of simple bread and water, awaiting for what punishment is to become of him. He appears to just stare blankly at the floor and say nothing. "..." it doesn't appear that he notices you at all and looks a depressing sight. ![]()

Please, return with us to your commanding officer and explain what's happened - you must realise that would be for the best?' As you say this your spell runs down and though he seems to show more hostility towards you now, he does nothing hostile and remains in his docile state. "Yes...please take me to the marshall. I never wanted innocents hurt and the cash...you can all keep that. I don't want any of that filthy money." he replies as he points at the pile Aventi brought into the room. He looks at it in disgust and confusion.![]()
![]() "I...don't know who to believe. Many of them were good friends..." he replies to Tapestry and as she asks about the dagger he raised a eyebrow. "What does it do? It's just a gift. I used it as a paper weight." he explains and then as Aventi returns showing the gold to him he shakes his head in shock. "But...I don't understand...We were meant to feeding the poor not...whatever this it." the added sarcasm appears to destroy his soul even more. ![]()
![]() Verik seems a bit suspecious about you, not realising about your spell nor it's use until you use it. As it hits you sense it effected him and he nods, putting his arms down slowly and looking a little sad. He heaves a heavy sigh as he looks over to you.
The Arkonas:
You all know that the Arkonas are a popular and famous group of Nobles. They are one of the oldest families in Korvosa and establist trade with Vudra as they are also related to these exotic people. Most you know is that they trade in rare and exotic items from the country of Vudra and due to demand this keeps them wealthy. 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4

You notice his eyes dart towards the adjacent room with worry. You aren't sure why but he's trying not to be noticed or look too concerned about the room. Yes, or atleast he was. Two men lay face down in the ground as a crowd gathers. Althon appears to be calming the crowd down though and seeing you he holds aloft a black sack covered in fresh blood. Looking at the two men on the floor you assume it's theirs. ![]()
![]() Curnach hits him hard with his enlarged club, but he doesn't go down. He pants and looking around, seeing that he's cornered, weaponless and clearly his charms would not get him out of this he puts his hands up in surrender.
You're effectively out of round. I'll post up the full map and tell me what areas you guys wish to investigate if any. ![]()

The trip attempt provokes an AoO from Verik who tries to take a stab at you with his spear. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 241d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 On another note, forgot he uses this two-handed so he did 1 extra point of damage against Curnach. No biggy as it's only 1 extra point. ![]()

![]() Just in case Krenn is waiting for my post. As you assume your whip knocks the spear right out of his hands and onto the floor. He had a tight grip on it but you just managed to pull it out.
Just a reminder, free action to talk. Not his turn yet. ![]()
![]() As Curnach goes up the steps there before him is the run-away guard. He turns to see you and goes pale realising that others might be up the stairs soon. Not sure if you wanted to be in the corner there or to his south. You have enough movement for that and he is holding a bow so it doesn't Provoke AoO at the moment of movement. ![]() Althon's Round 4 Action Krenn you see Althon outside and on his horse waiting outside a ally way which appears to lead to a open side entrance. As you are both outside you see a man looking through the window of the office above where you just were. From what you can see it was Verik and he gets his longbow out, ready to fire.
