About Varus EndraBackground::
Varus Endra was born on a small farm and worked for his father on it. The farm was close to the main road and trade routs and though the farm was small his father was a skilled trader and slowly grew a descent wealth intending to buy neighbouring farms one by one as his dream for Varus to someday oversee the business and potentially expand even further to other nearby farms and business. Varus grew up learning to run a farm and secrets of trading from his father as soon as he could speak, as well as learning to hunt any animals that might threaten the farm or himself. He was not all that skilled when dealing with people and did not have too many friends in town, Varus thought he would much rather travel the world to strange places and bringing home the most exotic prizes from his hunting. He told his father about this at 9 yrs old and his father told him to forget it for it was too dangerous. An adventurous life was not full of such fun as a child often imagines and it was much safer to follow his fathers plan and be someday rich and then he would be able to live an easy life looking after their business and trade. Alas fate decided all this was not to be for reasons of her own that Varus would never understand. At the age of 11 his parents were killed and he barely escaped when one night a couple of young and reckless werewolves attacked the farm. Varus ran for the river and escaped on his fathers trading boat which had only just returned from a very successful venture from the north. The farm went to an uncle who wasted the wealth that had been built up and eventually sold Varus and the farm to pay some debts only 5 years later. The new owners of the farm forced Varus to work hard and payed him nothing and barely fed him, forcing him to survive off anything he could find or hunt. Before a year was up Varus ran away from the farm and hid in the forest where they could not follow him, scared to death of what might be there with him he kept moving south away from home wondering if the forest would ever end. Using skills his father had taught him he managed to survive for several months luckily encountering no werewolves. Finally finding the souther edge of the forest though not sure how far from where he entered, and having eaten a diseased bird he fell sick only moments after feeling joy at seeing a new land. Fortune finally turned for him and a ranger found him and looked after him for two weeks, treating him and curing the disease with the help of a local priest. They took him back to a village near where the ranger lodged and Varus recovered fully there. On learning who had saved him he asked to be trained to become a ranger so that he might repay the debt to others that might be in need. He secretly wished to hunt down the werewolves that killed his parents also. Over another 5 years the ranger taught him the ways of animals, the land and many different peoples and races. He slowly gave up the desire to find the werewolves responsible for his parents deaths though never truly putting the idea to rest. Once while hunting near the same forest a young werewolf ambushed him at night wounding him before he killed it, after this he would forever hate werewolves and killed two more that threatened him. During the time of his training Varus met a girl in the village while trading and every time they would go there he would see her working in her fathers shop. Luckily they traded there often for supplies and medicine. Soon after he was 21 Varus was permitted to become an initiate ranger and soon after his teacher left on a strange mission without him and without explanation. For several years he searched for his mentor but could find no trace and returned to the town determined to find some other clue as to where he could have gone.. Physical Description::
Varus is almost two metres tall, light blue eyes and black hair of medium length but not covering any of his face. A scar on his chest caused by a close encounter with a werewolf.
