Background and Personality:
Varrus Lebeda is descended from the Lebeda family of Brevoy on his father's side. Both of his parents are half-elves and worked as pawnbrokers. Having met a wealthy traveling noble with a gambling problem, they moved to Cassomir about forty years ago and opened a small shop in a town not far from the noble's estate. Varrus himself picked up the skills of appraisal and watchfulness while in the family business.
Varrus signed on with a caravan to see more of the world. His sharp eyes serve him well as a guard, though he is not the largest or the strongest by any means.
Varrus considers himself a 'scout', not a 'thief'. He is generally honorable, moderately brave, curious, and still a bit naive. He is descended from nobility and was raised in reasonable comfort, so he has been somewhat sheltered up until now. The caravan duty has been rather dull.
