![]() Hey guys I am sorry but I am having a real hard time getting into this campaign. Some of it is the repeating character, some of it is pace of play and some is gaming style. For that reason I wish that you replace me with someone else. I have given this some major thought and this is the best answer I have come up with. I will still be around till we find our goal so as to not leave you all in the lurch. ![]()

![]() Hit once and held by the metal creature Variel tries to break the hold on him and reverse it so he can possibly pin the thing. fort save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 grapple 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Variel was able to resist the fluid that was injected into him but could not slip out of the hold. Hopefully his friends would bash the thing in quick enough to free him. If it is grappling Variel then it can not take AOO so you should be able to move around it without provoking. ![]()

![]() I am pretty sure that we don't have access to that box yet. The only option we have then is to proceed along the blood trail and hope we are still in time. Let's move it and get this rescue mission over with. With any luck we will be in time and we will find one of those card things to let us in the vault on the way back. Variel moves up taking his normal position protecting Doc letting those with more understanding of this place take the lead. ![]()

Any idea how to keep it from healing itself? attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 for 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 The blow landed but it was not as much damage as Variel would have liked though. Still it was perhaps enough to counter the healing it was doing. ![]()

![]() Variel gives Celest a sharp look as he mutters to her, Be careful what you say, they might take that literally. That would not be a pretty picture right now and one doc may not be able to fix. Variel will follow the clean stripe back to see where it leads but does not open any doors if they block his path. As he goes he calls out to Cheshire, Any luck with this place? ![]()

![]() If tha tis the case then I am thinking of going with Selena whenever we get back. It is a character I tried previously but burned out. Female would traveler born from a wealthy merchant family that got tired of her drab life. Will tweak it to fit the campaign setting and the character guidelines when I get a chance. Will post it here as well for your final approval Camris. 20 point buy with 7/18 being the min/max for each stat before racial mods.

What are your thoughts if after we reach an area that allows I make a new character to play? I would still go with an arcane character as we don't have one at all. If this is fresher than that then either they are still alive and just ahead of us or something else has gotten in here and is causing mayhem as well. Before we go too far though lets make sure to completely destroy those piles of metal things. I don't want them to try and come after us once we are past them. Unless you think that another 30 minutes might matter after 6 days. I am not a pessimist but I do not like the idea of him surviving this long in such a strange area. I hope for his sake that he is still alive but my hope wanes. ![]() Honestly, if that is the first thing to give you pause then you might have some other issues as well. The first sign of something strange going on around here was when we passed through the door a few days ago and arrived on this strange landscape. After that everything has been weird. ![]() Variel declines the potions and extracts until all of the others are up and conscious at least. Only then would he accept a healing draught. He cringes slightly at the smack from Flynn. Thank you but hold off on your praise for the moment. We still have to get out of here and I am in no condition to accept any heartier praise right now. I do say that a strong wind would blow this party over and scatter us to the four corners at this rate. We need to rest and recover. I will take the first watch and let the others sleep. ![]() 4/20hp Variel gives flynn a pained look. Yes, yes. Next time use that first if it works so well. In the meantime we need to seriously reconsider our ability to press on. Each and everyone of these things hits more often and harder than we do. Not only that but they resist our weapons damage. Let us rest here in this room keeping watch while we recover. Hopefully by then Cheshire will awake and the good doctor will be able to heal us all come morning. Variel hauls Cheshire into the room and sets him in on a table to allow Rhaym to work on him. Once tha is done then Variel looks at the hea that is dropped, the words on the wall and for anything else of note. Spellcraft 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
That cloak is interesting. It provides a modicum of magical protection against spells and effects. However to this point such protections have not been needed. I would rather a few healing potions or wands to get us all up healthy. Still it may come in useful later. ![]()

Variel gets beneath the guard of the creqture and plunges his rapier into a soft spot drawing forth ichor and certainly drawing its attention from the women in the party. ![]()
