Male Half Orc Monk 4

Last thing before I make a character would be what level are we starting at?

Cool, I will stat up a character and post by the end of the week.

Will you be using the Traits from Second Darkness Companion (and other sources)? Not worried if you aren't, just making sure for Character Creation purposes. Also, even though we are using Beta Rules what are your thoughts on using other Non-Pathfinder 3.5 Splat Books (Complete Books, Spell Compendium, etc...)?

Good point. What Prestiges are allowed if any would affect my choice of character as well.

Would possible play a spiked chain Fighter prestiging to Kensai, or Duskblade. Depends on what would be most needed.

Male Half Orc Monk 4

I think I vote for Second Darkness.

If it's a story that's going somewhere I'd be interested either with this character or another. Am already in a CoCT/RotRL hybrid. What did you have in mind?

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Looking to Ost and Artemis. "Would you suggest crossing first or stopping for the night?"

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo joins the others as they proceed.

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo looks around for any sign of attackers or movement.
Perception 1d20+11=19

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Reflex save (Evasion) 1d20+6=24

Male Half Orc Monk 4

"I would suggest both. Let them think our number smaller." Vargo then fades off into the trees in the opposite direction to Ost.

Stealth 1d20+9=27

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo keeps a weary eye out for danger.

Perception 1d20+11=14

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo sits quietly, observing his evening meditation. If any of his new companions attempt to engage him in conversation, he will oblige.

Male Half Orc Monk 4

"I am glad to help. I called Vargo Wayfinder. I will join you in your hunt."

Vargo returns the handshake somewhat mechanically, as if it it an unfamiliar action. He makes clear and direct eye contact with the group members as he speaks.

Male Half Orc Monk 4

"Are you all alright?" the large monk asks, taking in the rest of the group.

Male Half Orc Monk 4

"Why did you try to kill these people? It will do you no good to lie"

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Springing up off his hands the monk unleashe a duo of fierce kicks, his first sailing over the gnome's head. In mid-air he twists his body, adjusting to bring the second blow crashing down on his assailant.

1d20+4=6, 1d20+4=19

1d8+3=7

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo looks at the beautiful redhead, astonished at the ease with which she scaled the incline.

"Gnomes do not run very fast, I will stop one you go for the other."

With that he dashes off at a full charge, once again calling upon his inner reserves for speed. 1 ki pt for 20ft of speed, charge covers up to 120ft

As he closes in on the fleeing gnomes he throws himself into a sideways slide his legs scissoring at the moment of impact striking the unharmed gnome at the ankle and knee. Scorpion Strike. Gnome must make DC 16 Fort save or speed is reduced to 5ft for 4 rounds

Attack Roll 1d20+8=18

Damage 1d8+3=8

Male Half Orc Monk 4

1d20+8=20

22 if it's an enchantment effect

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo races across the ground at a full charge, springing into the air across the last 5ft.

In a moment suspended in time the young monk soars through the air, his arms stretched behind him, fingers hooked to mimic claws, one leg extended behind him, the other knee bent and thrust forward.

With an animal roar the the large warrior drives his knee into the face of the nearest of the gnomes in a spray of blood, landing in a crouch, his hands planted on the ground.

1d20+8=18, 1d8+3=11

Gnome needs to make a DC 16 fort save or be stunned, the other gnome is Vargo's dodge target

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Vargo focuses deep within and draws from his well of Chi, sending energy to his legs. burns one Ki point for +20 speed

Moving faster than anyone his size should, he dashes up the hill double move for 120 ft tearing towards the astonished gnomes as an animal growl begins to build in his throat.

Thanks

Male Half Orc Monk 4

That's pretty crazy and rather cool. The Patfinder gods are strong indeed to visit mortal dreams in this realm.

Male Half Orc Monk 4

Initiative
1d20+2=15

Glad to be here
