Yeah, first thing I will be doing methinks is researching any new DM. Have applied for a number of PBPs now, and the Evil campaign that I found myself in unfortunately fizzled out after about a month. Vanyc on the other hand is having a hell of a time getting any gaming time, just doesn't seem to be appealing to anyone to have a gnome sorcerer who wants to make potions all the time in the group.

I would like to present the character of Vanyc to the game if I may. Built on a 20 point buy so would need a little tweaking.

Aye, Dog of War we would like you back, but the fact you have disappeared on us is slightly disheartening

I'm hoping to get the game started soon. :) Any movement on the game? Am rather eager to start is all, and not knowing what is happening is making Vanyc nervous.
I have recently started DMing a game with totally new players to any kind of roleplaying game, and found that there was a huge amount of scope to be found within using only the core rule book and the bestiary. Whilst it is possible that the Core Rulebook might be a fairly intimidating book, the characters only really need to know the first 5 or 6 chapters in order to be able to almost totally gen up characters, as they will not be doing much in terms of magic items for quite some time. The APG, UM and UC are all amazing books and I would wholeheartedly recommend them all, but at the very beginning there is not much need for them. Let the players get through one campaign first, and then maybe introduce all the other options. Ultimately though, you know your players best. If you don't like any of the advice given to you here, then feel free to throw it all out and do it your way. After all remember Rule Zero. Your game, your rules.

The middle aged template takes 1 point from all physical scores and adds one to each mental score. I created him using a basic 20 point buy and then added the template at the end of it. Will look at the rest soon EDIT: Looked over other areas you asked me to look at, I believe he is properly made now.

Alright, as far as I can tell my sheet is done. Avatar is finally up and everything. Sorry about asking about it, must have been having a bad day or something

Perhaps we are short, but at the end of the day, the tree that grows the tallest has the hardest fall A gnome steps out of the shadows, simple robes covering his frame. A pony follows him at the end of a rope, full saddlebags evident. My name is Vanyc, I do believe that I am to be a companion of yours whilst we explore the Stolen Lands. What do you believe our chances to be of survival? I hear that many other groups such as ours have succumbed to those Lands

Am still looking though. Main thing is though whether the character is ok? EDIT: Can't seem to add an avatar to my character, it keeps on adding it to my original username rather than having it as an alias specific thing sorry. Any help would be appreciated.

It is with great anticipation that I, Vanyc present myself before you and hope that you will find it to your liking to include me in the brave and intrepid party that will explore these beautiful lands that many would consider Stolen. I would call myself a dabbler in the arcane arts, and one who would like to expand his currently not particularly formidable skills |
