Vannah:

1. Vannah is small and childlike in appearance. Though most halflings are small, there are subtle differences between them and human children – Vannah doesn’t exhibit most of these. It is easy – almost to easy – to mistake her for a child. She usually has a grave expression on her face, and generally stares at a person for a little too long.
2. Vannah is deaf. She has been deaf since she was quite young, and as a result lacks the certain joviality that many of her race have developed. She is quite, rarely speaking. Instead, she prefers to draw or write.
3. Vannah’s obsession with magic new and old has long consumed her. She studied with wizards and clerics both and couldn’t replicate their magic. Instead, she found her power came from the stranger qualities of magic and the mind … and perhaps even the future.
4. Vannah is easily distractable and a bit odd. Being deaf means she lives in a world of her own making most of the time. She’s not had much experience dealing with other people, preferring books.
5. Vannah is drawn to the cause of the dwarves by a serious of dreams and omens that have come to her through her mystery. She has very little knowledge of anyone outside of her family and a few humans -

Vanna’s Goals:

1. Vannah’s goal is to fully understand the occult nature of the universe. She has found there are cracks in the magical understanding of both the divine and the arcane. She follows where her dreams lead. She’s not quite sure why the Dwarven cause is the path to take, but she will take it without question.
2. I want Vannah to experiment with different magics that she can find as she goes along. Maybe a level in this and that caster – doesn’t make the best build, but should be interesting. 

Vannah's Quirks:

1. Vannah has a streak of red and green in her hair. She thinks it may have been a spell experiment that did it. In reality it was her little brother.
2. Vannah’s artwork is not very good, for someone who communicates mainly by drawing.
3. Kary likes to cook, finding the routines of recipes a lot like the formulas of magic she’s worked out for herself. She doesn’t need them, of course, but she likes them anyway, much like she likes to use recipes even for food she knows how to make by heart..
