so this is my first time playing pathfinder (let alone any rpg) and to top it off i will be the GM. So here's my problem/question.

My friends also have no experience with rpg's. so what i need to know is basically about starting the game as a cleric and a wizard(what my 2 friends are playing as). Being that the cleric wants to be a healer, how do you heal people in game and do clerics already know how to heal.

also, what spells do wizards start with as a level one? im sorry, im very ignorant to the game and i barely finish building characters with my friends. Please HELP!!!

Thanks a lot guys!

It's my first time playing both a half Orc and a cleric. I need help figuring out what abilities are most Important. I rolled 13,18,16,18,13,11
I'm sure wisdom or intelligence are the most important but it'd be helpful for someone with more experience in this.
Thanks!

Again, you all have been very helpful! Thanks a lot! Sean, yes i have both the Beginners Box as well as the core rule book, the Game Mastery Guide, and a bunch of others I borrowed from a friend. I will try to use the beginners box for now, but i really want to get into the real thing sooner rather than later.

Thanks to you both for the help! I have so many questions about the game its hard to ask just one person because they quickly get tired of all the elementary questions I throw their way.

Where do I get modules & does anyone have a good module for me to start with as a first time DM and 2 other first time players? We are all level 1 of course.

Also, another question about deities. As DM, how do I decide if we should or should not have deities? Do some modules require that, and is it easier one way or the other? I want to keep this as simple as possible for myself and my friends.

Ok, I am new to Pathfinder and RPG's for the most part. I played some D&D about 10 years ago for about 2 months and I don't even remember what Edition it was we played. My friends and I decided we wanted to start playing D&D and being that I was the only one who had any experience at all they elected me DM. Well in doing research and visiting a local game store I found that Pathfinder may be what we are looking for but I am lost on a few things.
1) Being that only 2 others are playing besides myself, I was told I could also play while DMing but my PC should be a healer so as to not make the game too easy on the others. So I am trying to make a Half Orc Cleric but in making a cleric the Core Rule book says something about my alignment needing to be within one step of my deities. I'm not sure what that really means. Being that I'm going to be a healer, do I need to worship a particular god? I wanted an alignment of Chaotic Good but the only god I can find that is a healing god isn't Chaotic good. The only one close I could find was Sarenrae, who is Neutral good... Now being that the book says I need to be 1 step within alignment with my god does that mean I could still worship Sarenrae and keep my alignment Chaotic good because Neutral is "1 step" from Chaotic? Please Help.

2) Also, the Core Rule Book I have keeps referring to Clerics as "She" & "Her". Does this mean you can only have female clerics, or can I be male?
