Wild Empathy (Ex)::

A ranger can improve the initial attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person (see Using Skills ). The ranger rolls 1 d20 and adds his ranger level and his Charisma bonus to determine the wild empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use wild empathy, the ranger and the animal must be within 30 feet of one another under normal visibility conditions. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute, but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. The ranger can also use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2 , but he takes a –4 penalty on the check.

Appearance::
Medium length light brown hair. Dark brown eyes with golden highlights. 6ft broad shoulders 180lbs. Tribal tattoo on his right shoulder of a wolf that he had when he arrived as a child. Leather armor that cuts off at the shoulder and is completed by leather bracers that
protect his arm when using his bow.

History::

Vahn grew up on the outskirts of town with his father and mother. His father was a ranger and always taught Vahn the importance of animals and the natural world. Vahn was adventurous and would often get into trouble. Like when he was 9 he climbed up a tree to see if he could catch a baby hawk and raise it as his own.
Just as he reached the nest the parents returned and Vahn trying to chase them off with a small dagger, lost his balance and fell he did manage to grab a branch but all it did was hold him for a moment before snapping off in his grip dropping him the rest of the way to a very painful stop. Where unconsciousness took him, he knew he was dying, but it just seemed to much for him. He awoke later in a temple to Desna unsure of how he got here and surprised that he was alive even more.
He was told by the women who was with him that he was very lucky her daughter had found him when she did and that it was a surprise that from the height he fell from that he wasn't more injured when she brought him. Vahn was thoroughly when he arrived home and barely heard his father scold him while his mother kept trying to make sure he was still in one piece.
The next day when he woke up he saw a young girl about his age standing outside his house. When he came to talk to her she ran off, Vahn ran after her and when he caught her he accidentally grabbed her hair. He wasn't even aware of the punch just that the sky was really blue from his back. Since that day he has spent every day that he could talking and playing with the shy little girl Atia.
When ever he would injure himself in some hair brained scheme shed always be there to heal him or to help him. When they turned 19 she surprised Vahn and told him she loved him and gave him a kiss. It was at that moment that he realized he had loved her since the moment he first met her.
They promised that as soon as they finished their coming of age ceremony
they would have a celebration and let everyone know that they are married even though they already are in their hearts.
