I'm sure i'm not the only one who is particularly proud of a fun character, whether it be powerful versatile or just fun to play.

I want to hear what character you would suggest I try. i think we need the idea of the characters class/classes archetypes, ability scores. and anything particular that makes them good at what they do (feats, weapons, gear, .ect)

I will start things off by introducing you all to Suje (pronounced Sue Hey). Human, ability scores of Str+3 Dex+3 Con+1 Int+1 Wis+2 Cha-2, Suje is an unchained Monk with a single lvl dip into Spiritualist. Suje is a reasonable striker, skill/knowledge monkey, Healer, and support caster with protection from evil and wands of shield and mage armor. with these 3 spells on top of the monk abilities an AC of 28 makes him a formidable tank at mid levels. as a follower of Irori Suje always makes sure to observe the obediences of Irori for the +4 to knowledge skills and as they are all class skills for the spiritualist has a +9 to all knowledge skills.
Suje also has feat weapon versatility so is able to pierce or slash with his unarmed strike bypassing a lot of DR.

this is rather good

Thanks Mitch.

It's not about the light as I could get light many ways its about protecting the flame from being dispelled!

Is it still possible to try

This week in our PFS game my monk had continual flame cast upon his left hand by our mad warpriest of Groetus. During the evening our warpriest fell in combat (due to not healing himself).

My monk would like to preserve the flame and keep it as a living memory of his friend. I plan on getting a glove to cover the flame for situations that require darkness (so i can stealth) and using this flame to light my path in his honor.

I know that an everburning torch or a wayfinder is cheap but light isn't really the point.

So how do I protect my friends flame from being dispelled?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

As a fire performer who has a collection of ropedarts i find this all interesting. the description of the weapon is correct apart for the fact that it takes 2 hands to wield, i use my left hand to control the length of the free rope and my right hand to direct the dart. other body parts are used to redirect the dart, speed it up, and chose the direction of fire.
As for the range,my ropedarts are all 13-14 foot long and I often both step forward and reach in the direction of fire increasing my range. i would call 20' fair for game statistics but would refer to the dart as a reach weapon unless it is released to throw further as has been mentioned above.
I am playing a human monk who uses a ropedart as a range weapon.
see this video for a ropedart in action.
