Love Paizo bases!

These green ones work well with my orcs & goblins and with my ratmen (aka skaven).
And I use the blue and red ones too.
AND I will be purchasing more of each!

Paizo, can we please have more colours of bases?
At least the medium ones please?!?

I would really appreciate it.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I am here asking for something out of the ordinary for those here that do not play any Paizo game, but have been very impressed by the Paizo Pawn sets.

I bought the Bestiary Pawn set.
I really like the quality of the pawns themselves and the artwork.
On the other hand, I could only use 1 of the small, 3 of the medium (actually it is one that is duplicated three times), 7 of the large and 1 of the huge.
Granted, that does not include the 12 white, black, green, blue or red dragon pawns that I may be able to use on rare occasions.
Let us say I do use all of them - that would be 24 total pawns.
That is out of a set that has 256 different pawns with additional numbers of pawns due to multiples of a number of them.

Now, I have already been told that I screwed up; I should have just bought the pdf.
I reply that no I did the right thing because I would have not known what great quality the pawns' construction is if I had.

Before someone asks, let me state here that I am playing in a well known fantasy setting from a well known company in the industry.
I am not going to say what company or game because they come with a lot of baggage out here on the Net and that baggage is not pertinent to my inquiry here.
All I want to do is find a better way for a non-Pathfinder player to spend money on Paizo pawns without having "tons" of useless product physically and/or digitally hanging around.

Any way, my idea about how to go about this does not have Paizo coming up with a new physical pawn set.
My idea concerns a pdf.
A pdf which would allow a purchaser to select so many small, medium, large and huge pawn images from around the Paizo pawn stable and purchase that file as a custom pawn pdf set.

This set would allow for a non-Pathfinder gamer to purchase Paizo pawns without feeling like we are getting gypped.
All we, the non-Pathfinder gamers, would have to do is print then paste these images onto the pawns we cannot use from the initial pawn set we bought and then we would have the quality pawn construction with images that work for our gaming.

Actually, I have a question that needs answering at this point.
Let us use Ogres for this question.
They are Ogres in four different sets: Bestiary, Giantslayer, Monster Codex and Rise of the Runelords.
THE Q: Is any artwork repeated across the Ogre pawns of these sets?
I know within a set it is, but is it across sets?
If the image art is not duplicated across sets, then that multiplies what I would desire from the existing Paizo pawn sets because there are several monsters in the same situation as the Ogres that I can use in this special pdf set idea.

Moreover, this pdf set would also allow me to get pawns of monsters which are almost alone in their utility in my situation.
For example, all I want from Bestiary 2 is the Hippogriff.
Or the Wyvern from Hell's Rebels.
And there are several more monsters that have similar problems.
Do these examples make my pdf request more understandable?

Is this really a ridiculous appeal?
Is there anyone else that would like this pdf option?
This would allow me and thousand of other gamers like me to give Paizo more of our money without a great deal of extra work on Paizo's part at very little investment cost on Paizo's part.
