Pulling a chakram as she pops out of the hall way, Usagi looks baffled at the newcomers. "We found this fair and square! Find your own scavenger hunt! Oh, Excuse me Omniel!" Squeezing past Omniel in the narrow hallway, Usagi runs around the corner before almost bumping into Skivven. Stopping short before practically bowling over her fuzzy companion, Usagi launches her chakram at the other swordsman.

Usagi sprints for the door, mug in hand, before a loud mreooooooow makes her turn around. "Oh right, this isn't mine... uh..." Tipping back her mug, Usagi closes her eyes and quickly drinks the rest of the cider before tossing the mug to the Boartusk Twins.
Usagi quickly blurts out, "Could-you-two-take-care-of-this-I'm-kinda-in-a-hurry-thanks-a-bunch-I-owe- you-one!" before scooping up Luna, and rushing out the door after Skivven

Handing Luna to the obviously incredibly friendly cleric, Usagi digs through her pack. Pulling the her notebook from her backpack, Usagi flips through the pages, looking for the right information. Almost every page has doodles of Luna, Usagi in impressive poses, and a lovingly rendered portrait of Shevar Besnik, with hearts all around it. "Hmmm... My notes aren't as good as I thought... Hey Omniel, what are we looking for again?"
After tucking her notebook back into her backpack, Usagi takes the squirming cat back into her arms, and pets the top of her head gently.
"If you're going to be this weird about walking on damp ground, I'm going to have to get a bag for you."

She's new at this. The 'Chosen one' archetype follows Intuitive ages instead of Learned. Basically, a familiar comes to you from your Deity to teach you the ways of the paladin. This is her second adventure so... She's doing the best she can.

Luna rolls her eyes, and her paws glow for an instant as Usagi scritches the top of her head. Guidance!
"Uh, Hi! My name is Usagi! Luna and I are here on a Field Trip! We were sent to go pick up a Bottle of Wine for our Very Responsible Venture Captain, and he sent us on a scavenger hunt! We are here looking for Clues!"

Putting one paw unto the damp earth, Luna immediately draws it backward, and looks up to Usagi expectantly. "You scaredy cat. It's just dirt!" With a graceful leap, Luna leaps onto Usagi's chain shirt, and climbs it expertly. Rolling her eyes, Usagi reluctantly holds Luna in her arms.

After hearing Eraith speak his plan, Usagi looks around frantically to find him. "Woah! He's like a Ghost! Maybe we can get some help from that lady over there!"

Looking around quickly, Usagi starts to make faces at the gnome reading books. Seemingly satisfied with his lack of reaction, she focuses on Eraith.
"Doulgonlir... He's the guy that wrote forever, right? How did he end up on the wall of names?"
As Usagi goes to retrieve her chakram, Luna leaps onto her back, to get a better angle to jump onto one of the bookshelves.
"LUNA GET DOWN FROM THERE! You don't ALWAYS have to be on the highest point! That just leaves the Graveyard before reporting back to Mr Dreng, right?"

As Usagi walks around the side of the house Luna sees the papers, and promptly jumps onto them and rolls around. "Luna! We are on Society Business! Playtime is later!" After the firm scolding, Usagi peeks inside the first window.

Yeah, I'm not totally sure why it isn't allowed. It is really helpful for making Ratfolk useful.
That being said, now that there is going to be 3 months worth of Convention Ratfolk Boons flying around, I think it will be considerably more common to see a few scurrying around.
Some of the GMs from my area have some ideas for Rat Stack Hilarity.
Rat Stack being the feat that lets you fit 3 ratfolk into a square, 4 if they have the Tunnel Rat feat.

"New Places! I agree! Does anyone have a Map of Absalom?"
As Usagi starts toward the gate at the Grand Lodge, Luna growls, and pounces on her heels.
"Luna! There is PLENTY of time for studying LATER! I'll have my essay written for Master Shaine! It's not due until tomorrow!"

With an audible sigh, Usagi pulls a thin wooden tile from her bag, and gently tucks it into her field guide.
"Looks like I'll be back to studying in no time. Are you sure there isn't anything else fun that we could do? Like Target Practice or Lunch?"

Usagi finds a seat on the ground, and absently draws her dagger and cuts blades of grass. After a few insistent headbutts from Luna, she lets out an exasperated sigh, and pulls the "Grand Lodge Study Guide for Agents with Field Commissions" out of her pack, and flips through the pages.

Usagi is in no hurry to turn in the bottle to Dreng, which she perceives as the end of the mission. She seems to be willing to drag it out with Side Quests and Adventures, as opposed to heading back to her studies.

As the door clicks open, Usagi is astounded, before excitedly running into the new room.
"DO you see this? This is an Honest to Iomedae SECRET PASSAGE! How exciting is that! In the basement of this inn!"
Looking down at her cat (who warily waits outside the small space) Usagi frowns, with her hands on her hips.
"This is Exciting! Why are you waiting outside?"

"Heryn was telling me that you two are Muscle for the society! And you get Free Drinks on Confirmation night! That sounds so exciting! What else do you do in the society?"

The little black form glowers, and bonks her head against Usagi.

I was at a convention called CosCon. It is organized by a gaming group (Circle of Swords) about an hour from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The VC from the Area and myself helped organize PFS play all weekend!

A moment later, a you Tien-Min girl walks around the corner, with a small black cat at her heels. She looks down again, seemingly talking to herself.
"No I don't know what Venture Captain Dreng wants. If I knew, we wouldn't be meeting him here for a briefing! Maybe we can ask someone if they have seen him. Do you know what he looks like?"
An instant later, she looks back at her cat, astonished.
