That might be it... IIRC it even allows a Human to become an Arcane Archer.

I believe they errata'd that to include any race.

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

I've seen other explanations of the Lesser Hurling Rage Power, but I'm going to post the text and ask a couple questions about it.
"Hurling, Lesser (Ex): As a full-round action while raging, the barbarian can lift and hurl an object up to one size category smaller than herself with both hands or two size categories smaller with one hand as an improvised weapon with a range increment of 10 feet. This inflicts damage as a falling object (Core Rulebook 443) plus the barbarian's Strength bonus. This damage is halved if the object is not made of stone, metal, or similar material. This is a ranged touch attack, and the target may attempt a Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 the barbarian's level + the barbarian's Strength modifier) for half damage. The barbarian may apply Power Attack to this attack as a one- or two-handed weapon, as appropriate."

On all the other posts I have seen I haven't seen the answer(and I probably haven't seen them all). Is the damage you are doing based only on the size of the object, i.e. small object (2d6) only, or are you doing size plus distance, i.e. throwing a small object (2d6) 50 feet (5d6) (5 range increments of 10 feet, which is maximum throwing range normally) for a total of 7d6?

One of the requirements for this feat is the Drunken Master's (Monk Archetype) Drunken Ki class feature - is it possible, since they are VERY similar, to be able to substitute the Buccaneer's (Gunslinger Archetype) Liquid Courage class feature for this requirement (and I'm not talking house rule), and if not, could it possibly be added to either the Buccaneer class feature or the Fast Drinker feat description? Looking more for an official answer here.

Encumbrance has four penalties: Maximum AC Bonus from Dex, armor check penalty, reduced the character's speed, and affects how fast the character can run.

With the Oracle's curse, you would ignore the two about slowing your speed. That would leave the two about Max AC and the check penalty associated. So, I'd rule that encumbrance would affect his maximum bonus and his check penalty.

Good call on the check penalty - I would also rule that way, and I would do so completely independently of this discussion. Glad you brought it up, because I didn't consider that. And, for my purposes, that would bring about other considerations that would make this question obsolete.

But if I was going to play devil's advocate here, I would point out that the curse specifically quantifies that your armor's max dex bonus applies to your charisma. It doesn't specifically say that your encumbrance max dex bonus applies to your charisma. I know it's splitting hairs, but...
And further input? Would you still rule the same way, regardless?

Okay, here's the setup - Oracle with the Lame curse, defined below, straight from the Piazo PRD:
"Lame: One of your legs is permanently wounded, reducing your base land speed by 10 feet if your base speed is 30 feet or more. If your base speed is less than 30 feet, your speed is reduced by 5 feet. Your speed is never reduced due to encumbrance. At 5th level, you are immune to the fatigued condition (but not exhaustion). At 10th level, your speed is never reduced by armor. At 15th level, you are immune to the exhausted condition."

The character has the Lore Mystery, with the Sidestep Secret revelation, again, defined below, straight from the Piazo PRD:
"Sidestep Secret (Su): Your innate understanding of the universe has granted you preternatural reflexes and the uncanny ability to step out of danger at the very last second. Add your Charisma modifier (instead of your Dexterity modifier) to your Armor Class and all Reflex saving throws. Your armor's maximum Dexterity bonus applies to your Charisma instead of your Dexterity."
I understand that your Charisma bonus applies specifically to your AC and Reflex save ONLY *instead* of your Dexterity and that your armor's max dex bonus applies to your charisma instead of your dex. I also understand that your speed is never reduced due to encumbrance.

Here's what I want to know: Would your encumbrance affect your AC and Reflex save if you were carrying enough weight to put you past your medium or heavy loads?
I personally would rule against the (cheesy) interpretation (it's my own character I'm building for PFS) and say encumbrance would effect your AC in this case, but I can see reasons it would not.

How would you interpret the RAW?

Oh, well, guess I was just looking for a loophole - I can see both for and against having access to that domain/subdomain as a Saurian Shaman.

If you choose the domain nature bond for a saurian shaman, do you have access to the scalykind domain and the saurian subdomain?
