NAME: Uldhazel the lost Star Race: Elf Place of Origin: Unknown Level: Wizard 1 (Diviner) Hit Dice: 1d6 [Wizard1] Favoured Class: Wizard Age: Young Adult (age unknown) Size: Medium Height: 6'3" Weight: 130" Racial Attributes: Keen Senses, Elven Immunities, Elven Magic, Low-Light Vision A very tall and slender elven wizard with dark eyes, dark red-tinged hair. She wears and grey, flowing cloak and fine leather boots. She carries dark leather map case and satchel. A longsword is sheathed at her waste and a long-bow with quiver are strapped to her back. She also travels with a sturdy, simple wooden staff. PERSONALITY:

Uldhazel is a wandering elven Astronomer. Seven years ago she found herself walking under a canopy of stars along the shores of Lake Kavapesta , having forgotten her past and with no recollection of how she had arrived there. She does not even know her name. (She named herself after one of the fixed stars - Uldhazel - the Lodestar, which mariners use to find their way home.) She was still able speak in several languages and she remembered basic survival skills...including her Elven martial training - even though she could not remember how or when she had learned these skills. She is familiar with several Elven dialects and isn't sure which one is native to her. As she wandered the shores of the Lake her fine raiment and exotic appearance drew the curious attention of locals. A local wizard named Thespis was interested in her story and fancied her. He invited her to stay as a guest in his tower. They spent many hours trying to piece together her identity, however no magic or or inquisition has managed to penetrate the darkness of her amnesia. She remained contentedly as Thespis' guest, as she was impressed by his library. Impressed in turn by her intellect, he urged her to remain with him and become his apprentice. In exchange for lodging and training, she helped him with his research and assisted him in his laboratory. With her intellect, her skill in divination and her knack for linguistics she quickly read through and learned from most of the tomes in his library. For some reason she is drawn to and fascinated by astronomy. She observes the heavens religiously and takes notes on the minutiae of celestial mechanics. While working in Thespis' observatory she became adept in the arts of Divination - and attained specialisation as a Diviner. Eventually she grew weary of the wizard's company - whose attentions were becoming a nuisance. The time had come for her to venture forth and seek her own fortune. In her studies she cultivated an ambition to construct or acquire a powerful telescope with which to better observe unusual celestial objects in the heavens. For her project she requires wealth. Lots of it. She set off for Daven's Rest after hearing rumours that there may be ruins to plunder in the area. She has also heard that successful adventuring companies are known to gather here from time to time. To prepare her for her new adventure Thespis gave her the gift of a fine magnifying lense, which she has since modified to become her bonded object.
