Big even by orc standards, Ukou was very young when his rampaging tribe was finally defeated just outside of Belkzen's traditional boundary. Sold from slave master to slave master first as a hard laborer and later as a pit fighter of some small repute. Unlike a certain other celluloid barbarian whose origin Ukou's mirrors, the half-orc was once shown kindness by a young girl who softened his heart. Since that incident he has taken to clinging with a sort of desperate longing to any scrap of beauty or civilization that finds its way into his care. Bits of song, poetry, a fragrance, a smile, or even a simple wild flower can melt the heart of the brutish-looking half-orc.
Now that he is free Uko is uncertain as to what road he should follow. Becoming a Pathfinder was an excuse to experience the world he has only seen through iron bars and put off the day he has to decide his own fate.
Ukou Xaio (a name given to him by a Tien master... actually a random letter generator) is a monument of muscles, standing 6'7" and weighing nearly 300 lbs. He wears his hair in a tall, mohawk, dyed blood-red. His size, prodigious strength, and bucket jaw complete with tusks makes him seem more orc than not.
