Tyr Thordinsjon is a large and powerfully built man. His life began in a small free hold, the son of a landed Knight and his Lady wife. Raised in a martial house hold, Tyr has been educated in sword as well as the mind. Originally he had hoped to enter the Maritime servises as a marine, there to rise in the ranks and perhaps become a commander of men, like his father.

However, the call for people to head south and extend the bounds of civilization has presented the young Tyr with the chance to 'fast track' his dreams of leading others. He hopes to do much with this opportunity and woe to those who would attempt to stand in the big man's way.
