TL;DR: I'm writing a 4-chapter adventure path that takes the players from level 1 to 12 and, as the title implies, down through the Darklands in a tour of each level of the subterranean world of Golarion, and I'm making it available as I go!

Down Through the Darklands! is an adventure path for Pathfinder 2e that starts in northeastern Isger, not from where Age of Ashes began, and follows the exploits of a con-gnome turned trading entrepreneur who hires the party to help him discover a passage into the dangerous caverns of Nar-Voth!

There are several books that are a part of this adventure path, including:

  • Down Through the Darklands! - Currently just over 100 pages and growing fast, this is the bulk of the adventure and will ultimately contain 4 chapters, each with 3 sections. There is a milestone level at the start of each section. It also contains a wealth of NPCs, hazards and variant rules! The first 4 sections (including all of chapter 1: Nar-Voth) are currently written!
  • Down Through the Darklands Player’s Guide - Lots of info about who the PCs might be and what classes and ancestries and backgrounds will work well or poorly in this campaign.
  • Overview of the Darklands in Golarion: Pathfinder’s Underground Lands - Mostly an index of the published materials on the Darklands, but with a few summary blurbs. Essentially my own research notes in writing this adventure path.
  • The Dangers of Northeastern Isger - Some info about the region and its difficulties including new rules for diseases and random encounter tables for levels 1-4.
  • New and Old Hazards and Traps for Pathfinder 2e - A truly massive effort to create dozens of new Hazards that can be scaled to any level, many of which have a dizzying array of variations! All told, there are literally thousands of traps that you can use based on the rules, here!
  • Down Through the Darklands Bestiary - Some variants, conversions and new creatures for any Darklands campaign.

See my most recent status report on reddit... (note that that posting says chapter 4 needs treasure and downtime activities, but that's done now).

Previously posted to reddit, but someone suggested I ask my questions here:

In Into the Darklands, James Jacobs describes the leadership of the duergar. Though Hagegraf is the capital of the duergar nation (which, BTW, seems to have no name other than "the duergar nation") the ruling council of the duergar's cities, settlements, kings, margraves and war-marshals is located in Diepkamer.

However, that document is extremely thin on its highly suggestive details. It does not:

* Describe where Diepkamer is
* Explain the mysterious deaths of 5 of the 7 Patriarchs which has apparently happened recently
* Give any sense of the structure of the city itself outside of the fact that it's guarded and is the seat of the Seven Patriarchs.

Has there been any published material that followed up on this brief description? Is there a known plan to resolve the mystery of the dead patriarchs or expand the city's description?

I notice that the PathfinderWiki claims that the city is under the World's Edge Mountains in Taldor, but the only reference I see in Into the Darklands to the World's Edge Mountains is that Kravenkus lies within that range and contains an entrance to the Darklands (p. 8). Is PathfinderWiki basing that on this section of the map of Nar-Voth and if so, is that a correct approximation for where the city lies in that image?

PS: For those who didn't see my previous posting, this is part of the research I'm doing in collecting all of the published references to the Darklands into a single document (Google Docs, very much an early draft). Mostly this is an index, not a summary, but I'm including just enough summary info to tie it all together (unlike, for example, PathfinderWiki that attempts to re-summarize all of the info while providing individual citations within each article as a secondary matter).
