The reward on the updated pdf is a card feat. I would assume that this is an error as it would give anyone who completed the whole adventure 2 card feats. What is the correct reward?

2nd bonus question. Can you use rocky cliff's on closing power to remove a face up barrier from the top of a deck?

1)How do Master Plugg and Mister Scourge work in this scenario?
A) Are they treated like bigger badder henchmen? Such that if you beat their check they go next to the scenario sheet and you get to attempt the to close of the location. And if not defeated they get shuffled back into the location.

B) Are they treated like extra villains? Such that if you encounter them other players attempt to temp close any open location they are at. Then if you beat their check they auto close the location, and then check to run away. If there is an open location per the scenario they just get put back into the empty location. And if there is not a place for them to run they are defeated and go next to the scenario card.

B1)If they can escape do you add a blessing from the box to each open location? Or if they are not defeated do you take blessing off the blessing deck and add them to each open location? Or since they are only “escaping” to the location they came from you don’t add any blessings in either case?

2)The scenario list a more henchmen then there are locations. I thought when a scenario listed multiple henchmen you started at the top and worked your way down until you got the number you needed. This would seem to imply that you put all of them in a stack of draw blindly until you have your number of locations minus 2 and then add the 2 villains. Shuffle that stack and deal one into each location.

3)How would it work if we were to choose the shackles pirate ship as our ship. Since Jemma says to encounter it before you encounter her but we are already on it. Would we just use the stats from our ship and just pretend that we have an extra card. I thought if you were told to summon a card and none of that card exist in your box you did not summon it.

4)To win the scenario all you have to do is defeat Jemma Redclaw, regardless of the other two villains?

When you get a random card from your box that is the scenario reward. Let’s say you don’t want this card. Can you exchange it for a card with the same adventure deck number? If the last answer is no which I suspect it is, Do you not check the take reward box. Such that you could try the scenario again in hopes to get the correct card.

While on the subject if you repeat a scenario do you get a deck upgrade each time you successfully complete it. Same question about rewards, but I would think once you get take the reward then that is it. No other chances to get a different card or change out which card you got for the reward.

2)How would I find out if Seasons of the Shackles has been updated to the tier system?

5)I was asking as we are looking to do a RotRL run and my wife has always played arcane caster so she thought that this character would be a good step towards playing a more weapon based character.

Sorry if these are answered elsewhere. I thought I remember seeing answers to a couple of them but I can't seem to find them.

1) In s$s there are a couple of locations that at first glance seem to have a golbal effect on x. Tempest Cay(when you ship is delt strutacal damage increase it by 1) and Fringes of the eye(barrier checks are increased by 3). Is it an effect for as long as that location is open, or only takes effect if someone is at that location, or only applies when the effect it modifies happens at that location.

2)Are OP characters going to have more check boxes filled then characters following the normal adventure path, because of the tier reward system?

3)For OP can you exchange a sceniro reward card for a card of the same level and type, when building your deck for the next sceniro.

4)If no to question 3 then if you don't want the card you get do you just not check the take reward box on your chronicle sheet?

5)I thought I read somewhere that they retconed all the RotRL cards to not banish automaticly if you didn't have the right trait. You would just not realistically have a chance to recharge. If this is true then with an acolyte could Flenta recharge a spell. If she does recharge does she still get a new one from the box? Or her box if using her for OP?

Thanks in advance for any help.

That is in addition to the normal deck upgrade given at the end of the scenario; you would gain two deck upgrades on the successful completion of 0-1A.

{Deck upgrade from acquired cards} + {random spell or weapon from class deck box}.

Example of the random from the class deck box:
Class deck Harsk has 5 weapons; a Dagger, Light Crossbow, Longbow, Longsword, and Quarterstaff.

Remaining weapons in his box (up to tier) are Returning Throwing Axe. He would acquire the Returning Throwing Axe (Weapon-1), and as such would be able to construct his deck as follows:

Weapons: (Weapon-1) x1, (Weapon-Basic) x4

-- S.

Okay noted we did that wrong then. So any scenario rewards are drawn from your class box in equal tier? What if you don't have any extras? Do you go up a tier like you would if you were building your deck or you just don't get one.

Or I could just read page 8 of the OP guide. opps... Missed that bit. Thanks for the replys to this question.

1. How many times can the class deck monk Athnul use her recharge a card power on a combat check?

Unless a power is a conditional ("when you are dealt Combat damage..." etc), it can only be used once per check/step.

So Harask from the Rise set could only add to someone's combat once?

Regarding deck upgrades: it's one upgrade per character per scenario (aside from any scenario rewards you might receive). Plunder expands the pool of upgrades you can choose from, but you still only get one.

So the reward from 0-1A is each player gains a spell or a weapon. So does that count as a deck upgrade or does each player draw a weapon or spell from the box and add it to the available upgrades to choose from?

4) You seize a ship (i. e. replace yous by the one you've just defeated) DURING a scenario and use it only until the end of that scenario (or sooner if you defeat another ship after and decide to swap again).
At the end of the scenario, the ship is "lost".
This is not the same at all as wining a ship feat (which is a scenario reward, not related to defeating a ship). Ship feats enable you a larger selection of ships when you decide with which ship you START a scenario.

So when do you know you get the seize the ship you defeated? Is it anytime you defeat a ship or is it only under certain circumstances? Like the barrier pirate hunting. It says to banish the summoned card if you defeat it.

We are all veterans of the base game and have loved playing it since we were given Rise of the Runelords as a Christmas present. We decided that we wanted to start playing the guild play. We came across a few questions.

1. How many times can the class deck monk Athnul use her recharge a card power on a combat check?

2. How many deck upgrades do you get per scenario completion?
2a. How do plunder cards work into this.

3. Where do scenario rewards come from? Is it your class deck box or is it from the game box?

4. When are you able to seize a ship?
