Descendants of the Golden Council
“In name, if not in blood, I become your descendant. I will learn from your wisdom, benefit from your might, and guide your lesser servants well, and in exchange I shall serve your interests and protect you from the enemies that threaten you in death as they did in life, and may my glories fade with my good faith if I am false.”

A Descendant of the Golden Council gains a +2 competence bonus on Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks, and other allies within 15 feet of him gain a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against compulsion and paralysis effects.

Maneuvers Readied
Instead of recovering maneuvers like a standard stalker a brutal slayer uses his ki to reinforce his body as a full-round action. When he does so, he recovers a number of expended maneuvers equal to his brutal slayer initiation modifier (minimum 2) and gains temporary hit points equal to twice his initiator level and damage reduction/– equal to his brutal slayer initiation modifier (minimum 0). These temporary hit points and damage reduction last for one round, and stack with any other sources of temporary hit points or damage reduction he may have. In addition, the next strike he initiates this encounter deals additional bleed damage equal to his brutal stalker initiation modifier. The target continues to bleed until the bleeding is stopped via magical healing or a successful DC 15 Heal check. Alternately, the brutal slayer can take a moment to realign himself and recover a single maneuver as a standard action.

Red Queen:

A riotous weapon belonging to the legendary swordsman Noh. The crimson hued blade revels in battle, imparting a furious zeal upon its wielder. It was forged in the name of the god eater, only to be rechristened later as a heroes weapon.

Noh was the only swordsman to master serpent-fire, a testament to his own spiritual development. They say he was the first to swing his sword in times of need, be it for his homeland or his people.

This +1 uchigatana is forged with elysian bronze and has the following special abilities:

  • A weapon made of elysian bronze adds a +1 bonus on weapon damage rolls against magical beasts and monstrous humanoids; this damage is multiplied on a critical hit. After a creature uses an elysian bronze weapon to deal damage to a magical beast or monstrous humanoid, the wielder gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls against that specific creature type (for example, against chimeras, not all magical beasts) for the next 24 hours, or until the weapon deals damage to a different kind of magical beast or monstrous humanoid.
  • Background:

Inherited his blade and title from his beloved master, the swordsman Noh. The disciple believed wholeheartedly that the world could not stand to lose on if its greatest heroes and so he cast away his own identity, taking up the mantle of his master. He fervently denies the death of Trueblade Noh, yet his own inexperience betrays the awful truth. Noh had mastered his own internal font of energy, kindling a well of serpent-fire within himself. This self-discipline is what distinguished him from the rest of the swordsman and allowed him to quell the calamitous spirit of the red queen. The disciple walks the same path, though his obsession with vengeance makes him misguided.
