I am looking for a group to game with up in Portland. I just moved here form New Mexico where I had a solid 4e group. Honestly, I'm down for any game. I am mostly interested in indie games, but a Pathfinder game would be rad. I am a strong roleplayer and can pick up any rule set quickly. I am more than happy to GM too. My e-mail is surfheraclitus at yahoo.com.

I was shifting through those blips, and am so happy to see all the indie games being played.
As of now the game is full, but a few people have pinged me since the game filled up, asking to get in on the game. If you would like to start a new game, I can link all the people who came too late for my game up, but would not be able to run another game. It would be cool to see a little Pathfinder Wave community get going.
I know Wave can be a bit jarring. This page really helped me when I first got going: http://www.completewaveguide.com/ Google Wave, I think, will out shine pbp or chat for so many reasons. First of which is the ability to edit blips. A group can keep the fiction as a coherent story and the number work modular from that, so when a player goes in to describe their actions, they have a much more flexible medium to work with. Something like this: http://gameplaywright.net/?p=1019 And then apps are always nice.
I am also in need of a game, but my availability is quite a bit more restricted. I work weekdays 8 to 5, and for me to travel to Albuquerque to play takes 45 min. or so. (given that I can't find players up here, it is worth it) My e-mail is Surfheraclitus@yahoo.com. I would be up for running a 'Dogs in the Vineyard' game or game using the 'Pathfinder' ruleset, and would also be up for playing in a game. A Sunday late morning or early afternoon game would be the best for me.
I would like to start running and playing in some Pathfinder Society or Pathfinder AP games, either here where I live in Santa Fe or down in Albuquerque would work as well. Sunday late morning or early afternoon are sounding top notch as far as when goes, but I work normal 8 to 5 weekday hours and tend to do social things on weekend nights, so anytime outside of that works too.
I am just moving to Austin this afternoon, so if anyone is looking for a group I am in. I will be more than happy to DM too. Daigle wrote:
Would those who are already in groups or unable to commit to a regular game be interested in a Pathfinder Society group?

I am moving to Austin tomorrow, and would love to find a group down there. If there is anyone that wants to start a group or has a opening in their group, please let me know. I have a firm grasp of the rules, playing multiple games a week for about 4 years now, and tend to lean toward a narrative focus in game play.
If you are looking to meet some gamers/artists in the DFW area come up to my house on March 1st. Where are having a DIY art show in my living room, and all the art is going to be themed around comic, game, and scifi/fantasy. Come by, hang out, talk about games and comics, and look at cool art Time: 7pm
If you have any questions shoot me an e-mail (jkgreerIII@gmail.com) or comment on this discussion.

Yeah, there is no lone star comics in Denton where i am, but every once and a while i find myself down in the dallas area, and will make an attempt to check it out. And i do not understand that fear of rpgs. Out of the three game/comic shops in denton not one supports the role playing community. We have a big role playing club up here (with about 18 players at one point) and no shop supportes us. All they cater to is magic or other card games. Do magic players really spend that much more money than we do? woops, i am ranting.
rclifton wrote: Wow! Haven't seen either in the local bookstores here in DFW. In fact, most of the chains have almost eliminated their RPG shelfs. Local Borders have maybe one shelf (50/50 White Wolf/WotC and interestingly the only 3rd party representation is The Book of Erotic Fantasy!) and B&N less than a third of a shelf. No Paizo at either... :( I am not sure where you are in the DFW area but the end of our quest for a local game shop that sold the Pathfinder books was a place in the Valley View Mall called something along the lines of Game Chest. It had a great selection but it is a bit of a drive from where i live. |
